Drifting serenely in the Gulf of Thailand, the palm-fringed island of Ko Tao takes its name from the abundant sea turtles that reside on its shores. White sand beaches sheltered by steep hills – some only accessible with four-wheel drive vehicles – and 300 days of sun per year invite long afternoons of lounging.

the most beautiful beach in koh tao, in my opinion. great snorkeling, turtles and baby sharks, also super quiet (sometimes we were the only opeople in the beach) and very calm and clear waters

This beautiful, remote cove has a sandy beach and is accessible by foot or by boat.
Sai Nuan beach is my favourite place in Koh Tao, I visited everyday during my 1 week stay in the island, super quiet and peaceful beach, you can enjoy stunning sunsets there. MUST visit

The home of Muay Thai on Koh Tao, Thailand. Located in Sairee on Koh Tao, Island Muay Thai training and fight arena provides the Island of Koh Tao with all the needs for visitors, locals and local fighters! Established in 2002 Island Muay Thai is the first Muay Thai training camp and only to provide weekly to fortnightly fight nights.
First time to real muay thai, we usually watch UFC and wanted to see what a real muay thai fight was like. We watched 7 fights including younger fighters and a womans bout. All the fighters were respectful and very talented - highly recommend checking it out.

The view at the top is well worth the climb and 50 baht entrance fee, it is absolutely stunning and is my favourite viewpoint in Koh Tao. I really enjoyed climbing up to the top, I would recommend doing it in walking sandles or trainers, flip flops may prove slippery. Reward yourself by heading down to Freedom beach after for a swim. It gets very hot during the day so the best time to do this viewpoint is in the morning.

I’ve been coming to Hin Wong Bay for over 20 years. I’ve seen many changes on the island, not all for the better, Hin Wong Bungalow at the end of the New road form Sairee Beach is as close to the old backpacking experience of Koh Tao as you’re likely to find. A small but pretty beach is hidden away just beyond the restaurant, where you’ll find Mol’s beach bar, one of the coolest bars on the island. Mol is the beach’s custodian and works daily to ensure the beach and the surf is clean. From there you can snorkel the rocks to the south where you’ll find a hidden coral garden amongst the plethora of feeding shoals of parrot fish. If you choose to take on of the hillside bungalows you’ll get fantastic views of the bay and on cloudless nights a full moon shining her light across the ocean. Hin Wong is one of Koh Tao’s peaceful jewels, well away from the boisterous hub that Sairee Beach is these days, and with the brand new, modern road, it’s easy to navigate either on foot if you don’t mind a couple of steep climbs, or by rented motor scooter although there will be a 20 bht charge for parking it. Old school Koh Tao is alive and well at Hin Wong Bay. (AVOID HIN WONG APRTMENTS THOUGH WHATEVER YOU DO - A HORRIBLE, GREEDY ENGLISH TROLL RUNS IT)

I did the one day boat trip to Sail Rock in July 2019, and was amazed at the excellent diving. Millions of fish, tuna, barracuda, and a whale shark (15' long, litle guy). I highly recommend Sail Rock as a dive location if you are in the Koh Tao, Thailand area.

Last minute choice to do this trip, headed to the pier was easy to get a taxi boat to the island, cost 400 bht each return from Koh Tao You pay 100 bht entrance fee when you arrive at the island. This is a must do trip, the island is beautiful, well maintained, take a snorkel and mask with you and plenty of sun tan lotion ..!! Food and drink is available and the walk up to the view point is worth doing, although not for the less mobile, step steps and a climb onto rocks at the top, but worth every Second. Highly recommend the freshly squeezed orange juice they do in the food area.!!

This place now has a new road for access making getting there by bike simple. They do charge a small amount to park but at least this includes a level of security for your bike and maintenance of the beach sun beds etc. The is a small shop for refreshments and loos. Very useful.

This place doesn’t have beach actually Just rocks as far as my eyes can see And I recommended you to use fins or booties as the corals pretty sharp Next to this place there is resort named “Haad Tien Beach Resort“ it has beautiful beach, and you can also do snorkel there And yea I decided to go the resort And they charged for outsider guest 100bht / person Which is reasonable price tho You can chill at the beach and enjoy the view

The sea was so clear and the sand was so soft. It was amazing. I would recommend a beach day here. There are lots of beach front bars and restaurants as well, which is really helpful to give you a break from the sun. Can also get taxi boat from here to Nang Yuan island
