Gauntlet, Eagle & Vulture park is the largest bird of prey park in the Northwest of England. With over 120 birds of prey, ranging from the smallest owls to the worlds largest eagle and Vultures it really is a haven for animal lovers. Gauntlet has two daily shows at 12.30 and 3 during the months March-Oct and during the winter months weekends only. As well as our two daily displays we have vulture feeding and meet & greet. We have a large children's play area with plenty of room for picnics. We are on the same site as Fryers garden centre and you can leave at anytime and come back for our displays. For those wishing to get closer we have bird of prey experiences which are run 7 days a week throughout the year. This gives people the opportunity to handle and fly the birds.
We visited the park with my elderly parents and two young grand children aged 6 and 11. We all had a wonderful experience with Meet and Greet sessions , the Vulture experience and the wonderful flying experience at the end of the day when over 30 birds gave an awe inspiring display set to music. What a great day out and very reasonable. We had a snack type lunch and coffees from the little cafe area but my daughter and partner along with their children went to the Garden Centre next door as they are gluten free. The birds are well looked after, well loved , staff are knowlegeable and enthuiastic. I cannot fault it at all.

Knutsford Heritage Centre is the best way to discover Knutsford and Elizabeth Gaskell’s Cranford. Changing exhibitions tell the story of Knutsford and its people. Official Walking Tours of Knutsford run every Friday afternoon (at 2pm from May-October. The Centre also houses the famous Knutsford Tapestry, measuring 52 metres it took 4 years to complete and involved 3,000 people in the stitching. It captures the architecture and every day life of Knutsford in the year 2000.
As well as the astonishing tapestry, which the lady volunteers told us all about, there is a touching memorial to local soldiers killed in WW1 and a pretty courtyard garden kept up by one of the gardeners from Dunham Massey. If you want to find out a lot about Knutsford, this is for you. It is a small place, not suitable for very large groups.

I just love the fact this place isn’t a multiplex! Love the foyer, can get a coffee rather than just gallons on expensive soda! So much more relaxing and enjoyable than one of the big chains. Cinema size is smaller, sound and screen quality excellent. Always a great choice in my opinion and they have good rotation and film choices. Do watch the two hours on the car park though!

Located in 1,000 acres of beautiful deer park, the former Egerton family home is open for you to explore. You're welcome to uncover centuries of history at the Medieval Old Hall and witness life above and below stairs in the Mansion. Wander at leisure through 50 acres of award-winning Gardens and take the family to meet very special rare breed animals at our working Farm. You'll love stopping off in the Stableyard where you can sit back, eat, drink, browse and buy. With over 100 events a year it's the perfect day out! For nearly 400 years the estate was the property of the Egerton family until it was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1958. Today it is financed and maintained by Cheshire East Council.
'Lovely walk around Tatton Park Gardens and parkland today, superb Japanese Garden, Italian Garden at front of house, formal gardens, woodland and aboretum, plenty of wildfowl on the lake and herds of deer to watch. Plenty of benches. Some areas (rose garden, Tower garden, maze, fernery, glasshouses /orangery) closed due to SD measures. Lovely Autumn colours. Thanks to the Marketing Department staff who helped with questions before our visit. Will return. '
