I booked a 1 month rental through Alain at Shalom Safaris. He was very friendly and professional. He provided me 2016 Toyota RAV4. It was very clean and well maintained. The 6 speed manual transmission was a pleasure to drive. The price was fair.
Your 3 days Mount Bisoke hiking is a greater experience to explore the fauna and flora within this region. Mt Bisoke stands at 3700 m; it has the typical conic shape of a “perfect” volcano and in its crater lays a deep crater lake. The top of this Volcano has a spectacular crater lake. It is simply a 6 – hours hike including the 2 hours descending down to the starting point. Experienced hikers can get to the top of this mountain in a matter of 3 hours or even less and return to the base in about an hour. This is the 3rd highest mountain in Rwanda, and is part of Volcanoes National Park. From the top of the volcano one can enjoy fantastic views over the other five volcanoes and the “twin lakes”. There is a crater lake near the summit and the vegetation is usually drier than in other areas of the Volcanoes National Park, with giant heather thriving on the volcano’s slopes.
Inclusions: Private transportation, Dinner, Dinner, Lunch, Breakfast, Meals as described in the itinerary, All Fees and Taxes, Hiking permits, Accommodation on standard lodge, Driver guide
Exclusions: Visa, Air Fares, Laundry
Once in a lifetime experience! I met my lovely guide, Fred, in front of my hotel and we immediately jumped on the motorbikes, behind the drivers. The first stop was on the top of Mount Kigali with breathtaking view over the city. The journey continued with Nyamirambo walking tour. It was very special to see the high quality street art, go with the flow and simply get amazed about the local culture. I was warmly welcomed by a family at their own home, where I could try various local dishes. The food and drink provided were more than enough and all dishes were very very tasty. After Fred bargained the price for our next motorbike etap, we arrived at the Kigali Local market which provided endless quality local products such as vegetable, fish, dairy products and spices as ingredients for local cuisines. At the end, Fred and I enjoyed a drink in the famous Hôtel des Mille Collines. The ride with motorbikes is very safe and allows you to explore a city in an adventurous, unique way. Thank you, Beyond Kigali City Tours, for that wonderful day. Fred is the best guide ever, explains a lot about the Rwandan culture, traditions and life, I really enjoyed the time with him. Do not book anywhere else, Beyond Kigali Tour guys are the best ever to enjoy your time in Rwanda.

I was a little anxious about doing this trip alone but everyone was so friendly and I had so much fun. I opted to go snorkelling with a member of the boat crew. We were out for almost an hour and I saw the most amazing marine l upife. We were lucky enough to see some dolphins, although not for long. Lunch on Wasini Island was really good, plenty of food and the service was great. My overnight stay at Shimoni Reef Lodge was just perfect, the staff went out of their way to welcome me and make my stay memorable. The food was wonderful. I took the opportunity to visit the slave caves and was escorted there personally by Nyinge who worked at the Lodge, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking for a unique two day experience

This was a fantastic tour, a real highlight of my trip to Rwanda. It’s an action-packed day with stunning views of the north-western part of the country. Lake Kivu is a real sight to witness, especially with the DRC so close. Peter is a great tour guide and I had a really enjoyable discussion with him throughout the day. Highly recommended!
Bisoke volcanoe has a spectacular crater lake. Lakes Burera and Ruhondo (Twin Lakes), close to the gorilla-tracking center of Kinigi, are often called neglected gems perhaps because they are among least traveled attractions in Rwanda. For those with a taste for adventure, a boat trip on Twin Lakes provides the chance to see the five volcanoes and natural features like birds, hammerkops, cranes and lots of kingfishers and herons. You can may book additional tours such as fishing with the locals or experiencing the Rwandan cultural and historical with a traditional community.
Inclusions: Breakfast, Private transportation, Volcano hiking permit
Exclusions: Hiking shoes, Hiking shoes, rain jackets & porters
My partner and I decided to take the tour on our last day in Rwanda. We've been living in Rwanda for 3 weeks already but we never had to opportunity to explore. My partner and i were picked up at our apartment which was a plus! ( a little late but they manage to call to inform us that they were on their way).It was only me and my partner on the tour and must i say, it was lovely. We did inform that we had to be back to our apartment at 5pm and they noted that very well. Our tour was custom to our preference which was a plus. (Keep in mind, that Kigali has a curfew.) Patrick was very well educated on the history of Rwanda! We had a delicious lunch and had a great conversation with Patrick during our lunch which was great! It was not an awkward lunch. It is a very lovely tour. I recommend if want to see the major "must see" of Kigali. It was very lovely to have Patrick around as our tour guide. Patrick spoke very good english and ensure we had a great experience to take back home.
Wonderful adventure where you will be able to see all your dream wild animals and dream places, excellent service, a value for money safari

A group of friends and I visit an African country each year. Kigali was our pit stop for October 2019 and we needed a tour company to provide us with a tailored package that included navigating the popular tourist sites and getting to see the real Kigali! Liz and her business partner Claudine did not disappoint; their professional approach was second to none and we received great recommendations re tourist sites to visit, restaurants to eat and coffee shops/ bars to chill. Our own dedicated tour guides and coach service made getting around easy. Our first stop was the Akagera National Park followed by visits to the Genocide Memorial and Parliament Museums. A sumptuous lunch at the Hotel des Mille Collines aka "Hotel Rwanda" followed by individual visits to local markets and galleries followed. Our evening ended with a Kigali bar-crawl! An amazing road trip at the crack of dawn to Rwesero to enjoy the lake Muhazi and King Fish Beach Resort kicked off our 2nd day! The scenery was as good as the food! To top it off a bonfire was organised where we chilled appreciated the nature! The night ended with an amazing rooftop reception in Kigali while we rounded up our city tour on the last day and spent the final evening at the renown Piri-Piri spot. I would highly recommend Phonenix Travel & Tours as they showed a deep knowledge of the entire landscape and definitely provided a rounded experience for us. One thing the group unanimously agreed on was that a second visit was necessary!
7 Magical Days in Rwanda Tour is one of the most exciting a traveler will have.. The tour is also very affordable especially for those travelling in groups. The more people in the Tour the better the price. Come and enjoy 7 Magical Days in Rwanda Tour. It will be a trip you never forget!
