Get away from the crowd! Enjoy time in beautiful Weasenham woods. We have quad-biking, an army-style assault course and the ultimate high ropes* adventure course, all set in THE tallest trees in eastern England! Independently run, our high ropes course has 20 exhilarating activities and includes the 45ft high 3G swing (a massive swing!), plus optional fan descender jump and/or 1000ft zip wire - both from an 80ft platform! We also offer a real tree climbing experience, which can done separately or combined with our other activities. For those who are feeling less adventurous there is a woodland walk and we have a covered picnic pavilion with an open log fire for shelter and dining. Facilities include an under 10's play area (children must be supervised), FREE car park and woodland cafe. Bookings are by appointment, please phone to book. *The high ropes course closes for winter from 8th Nov 2018 & will re-open Easter weekend 2019. We remain open for quad-biking and assault course.

Watatunga is a stunning new wildlife reserve in west Norfolk. Situated amongst 170 acres of woodland, grassland and lakes, Watatunga provides a unique environment for over twenty types of ungulate and rare bird species to roam at their will. Access to the reserve is via guided tour only and must be pre-booked online via our website. We also offer luxurious self-catering accommodation.
We stayed at Majors Lodge for a week in September to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary. It was a last minute booking to replace our original villa in France which was cancelled and how pleased we were to have found such a gem. Right from the start Anna couldn’t have been more helpful in organising the accommodation to our requirements and understanding the needs of our nine month old grand daughter. The Lodge is situated right on the edge of the Watatunga Wildlife Reserve overlooking grassland and affording great views of the endangered ungulates from the deck, garden and sun room. Accommodation is very comfortable and spacious. The bedrooms are large, beds comfortable and bed linen luxurious. There is a large lounge with open fire if you want it, large dining room, well appointed kitchen and a great sunroom where we tended to eat all the time because of the views. Three bathrooms meant there was never a queue! The decking has gates that can be secured to stop little ones roaming too far but the garden is enclosed anyway. There is a large gas barbecue. So now to the reserve itself. 170 acres of varied habitat from grassland that transports you to Africa, old woodland reminiscent of the New Forest and two lakes with some other wet areas. The wildlife is free to roam over the whole reserve. We were privileged to have a guided tour by Ed, who is clearly so passionate about protecting endangered species and educating others about the issues involved, after which we had exclusive use of one of the buggies for the whole of our stay so we could explore the reserve at out leisure. It is a wonderful place to spend some time. Very peaceful. Besides the varied species of deer and sheep we saw several varieties of pheasant, had close encounters with water buffalo, saw a barn owl quartering across one of the fields and were extremely privileged to see Great Bustards. Besides use of the buggy we had exclusive access to a hide overlooking one of the lakes with several species of duck. Buzzards, a kestrel and a sparrow hawk were all seen near the lodge. One of the many highlights was helping Hope bottle-feed some of the young animals one morning. This was enjoyed by everyone regardless of age! You can visit Watatunga and do a guided tour but I highly recommend that you take longer and stay here as we did. I am sure you will not be disappointed.

We loved it here! A really interesting house & gardens with some lovely short woodlands walk. The cafe was also good - We had a really nice baked potato & later had a coffee & cake. We also spent some time just sitting in the deckchairs provided to just enjoy the view of the fabulous house. This is definitely one of my fave NT properties & highly recommend a visit.

What a great find. Beautiful Gardens, many different species of flowers, plants, bamboo and wildlife. An oasis to wander through. the coffee shop was open for takeaway because of Covid with enough choice for us. There are plenty of benches to sit and eat. Due to the virus the way is one way and easy to follow. There are so many lovely bridges over water. On the hideaway you could sit and wait to see a Kingfisher. ( we didn't though). I loved all colours of the plants , flowers and grasses. A must for nature lovers. A peaceful retreat in this busy world listening to the water and enjoying nature. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Being a big banger racing fan, I have travelled up and down the country watching bangers at plenty of tracks. This is undoubtedly the best, more than happy to do the 7hr round trip so if it’s local to you then it’s a no brainer. Huge driver base with the best racers/biggest hitters so even at the quieter meetings you’re guaranteed good action. Staff are good, food is surprisingly alright for a race venue, viewing is fantastic and even if you’re not into bangers/stock cars it’s well worth a visit.

Historic, beautiful park even in the rain. Ducks, bridges and Brooks. Clean and free parking. There's a cafe in the park but you can only sit outside

Live within 50 miles but had never visited before, spur of the moment on a cloudy day and we were not expecting too much. We were very pleasantly surprised: plenty of room in car park, everywhere very clean and tidy (spotless toilets), very pleasant ladies in the ticket office, and a lovely couple of hours wandering round (with dog on lead). We had one of the audio guides which provided interesting information. Definitely not the place to go in a wheelchair, and beware steps to enter the Castle and access each floor. We also went to the Unique tea rooms, but difficult to review because the garden was so full of wasps, partly perhaps not helped by the tables not being cleared promptly. Good flapjack though, but we had to retreat indoors to eat it.

Welcome to one of King's Lynn most beautiful buildings, The Majestic Cinema. This stunning cinema was officially opened on 23rdMay 1928; with the year commemorated in the stained glass windows at the front of the building. As an independent cinema, the Majestic prides itself on being a friendly place to come for all movie goers. The main attraction to the Majestic, beside its films, is the building itself and all the history that comes with it. Today, the Majestic has three screens but back when it was first opened the Majestic had one two tier screen (where Screen 1 and 2 are now), and a ballroom (where Screen 3 is now). Over the years the Majestic has transformed but features from its past still live on within the building. You just need to know where to look. When you next visit the Majestic look out for certain features like the stained glass windows in the main entrance, the circle of zodiac signs in the ceiling of Screen 1, the bouncy spring-layered floor in Screen 3, and the old stage in Screen 2. Every year the Majestic takes part in King's Lynn's Heritage Day where you have the chance to explore the cinema in more detail and to learn about the buildings past. The Majestic puts on tours with knowledgeable staff always willing to guide you through its history. Currently, the Majestic has three screens. Screen 1, with its ornate dome, seats 313. Screen 2, which holds 245 seats. This screen has disabled access and also has a superior quality hearing loop system. Screen 3 holds 113 seats and was originally the ballroom which closed 1977. All of our screens now have Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound installed.
Lovely cinema - located in the heart of the town centre. Not great for mobility disabled customers ( unless you see a film in screen 1 ,there are 3 screens) as there isnt a lift to the upper floors. Probably a listed building so probably changing the building isnt a viable option. That said the management are superb in doing all they can to assist you. Long time since I encountered this level of personal customer care. screens and sound are great, obviously not upto the massive VUE cinemas, but Majestic offer something they don't.. that traditional cinema warm feel. latest films shown and prices are reasonable. Downside is that small kids cant see over the seatbacks too well so boosters are available. Lovely local cinema and well worth supporting them. Some customers do leave a mess behind them even though staff are available at the end of the film with binbahgs, such a shame some show a lack of respect, again this is a comment on some 'customers' and not the cinema. We love you majestic!
