Lovely spot. We accidentally went to the wrong parking lot first- there's one that leads to an area at the top of the falls, but we wanted to walk along the river and see the bottom of the falls. Search 雄川の滝 遊歩道入口 駐車場 on google maps to find the free parking lot at the head of the path that takes you close to the falls!

In the park, a riverbed of Hanaze river is like a beautiful stone pavement made of Welded tuff. Its area is width 60m and length 2km. In spring season, this park is famous for cherry blossoms and wisteria flowers. In Aug, a music concert is taken place. In the Edo period, the governor of Kagoshima also had often visited here. In 1977, this Hanaze park has been registered as natural reserved park.
