Does time ever pass in the Florida Keys? Everyone and everything in Key West seems to go at its own pace, right down to the ice melting slooooowly in your margarita glass. Of course, it’s not all limes and leisure – Key West is known as the “Winter White House” because of its appeal to visiting U.S. presidents, and the island has been home to literary greats like Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams. The diving here is phenomenal, as is the kid-friendly Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center.

Originated in 2009 by the artists Adam Russell and Kelly Lever, our Company has grown to include a small army of local artisans and creatives producing an authentic expression of life in this beautiful place— without relying on cliché. As the epitome of authentic artwork made on the island we carry a diverse selection of bespoke items — from the Island’s BEST coffee mugs to award winning outdoor sculpture, visitors encounter the most well-rounded Gallery program on Duval Street. Over 10 years, we have developed a brand of tropical modernism that is unique and diverse enough to fit into any home. We believe that you will find Key West Pottery to be a soulful and sincere art experience that ties you to the local’s perspective of Key West.
This is such a unique shop, with beautiful pottery, prints, and gifts in many different sizes & price ranges. There really is something for everyone. I’m a fan of purchasing art as souvenirs when I travel, and am so glad that I purchased a beautiful, unique plate from here. It’s now hanging on my living room wall & looks amazing. Thank you Key West Pottery, you rock. P.S. I suggest following them on Instagram @keywestpottery too!

A museum dedicated to the history of fire fighting in the Florida Keys
We went and thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Chief Eddie. He told a lot of history about the Fire House and we were surprised how much we learned that day.

Alan S. Maltz, designated the Official Wildlife and Fine Art Photographer for the State of Florida, presents his fine art photography, limited edition prints on aluminum and canvas, and award winning books at his Key West gallery, daily. Step out of the bustle of busy Duval Street and into an uplifting sanctuary of color and light, established in 1999.
My wife and I have purchased several pieces of Alan's beautiful artwork and proudly display them throughout our home. Mr. Maltz and his entire team consistently provide outstanding customer service. When in Key West, I highly recommend a visit to the gallery.

We stopped in and ended up spending a fair amount of time here. The collection of photography and art of contemporary musicians and artists is incredible and you’ll want to spend time taking it all in. The stories behind each piece are fascinating. I’ll add that if you buy a piece the customer service is excellent. We bought two pieces at a fair price and they were expertly prepared for shipping. Without a doubt a highlight of our trip to Key West.

Fine art gallery showing works of local and internationally collected artists and photo/artists.
What a fantastic gallery! We recently shopped nearly every gallery in Key West looking for a prominent piece for our home and found it at Art on Duval! Michael Procaccini, the owner/artist, was fantastic and so very helpful. After evaluating and negotiating with a couple of galleries, we purchased “Drifted” by Alex Popovski in 36 x 48” canvas format and had it shipped home. It arrived safely and looks fantastic! Thanks again Michael and hope everyone visiting galleries in Key West shop your gallery.

Operated by the Key West Art & Historical Society, the Keys oldest cultural non-profit. The mission of the Key West Art & Historical Society is to preserve the culture of the Florida Keys through exhibiting and displaying regional art, architecture and history for the purpose of educating the community and visiting public.
Almost everyone goes to the Hemingway House. The Key West Lighthouse is basically right across the street, so you might as well tack this tour on to your Hemingway House tour. The small lighthouse museum has recently been redone. It has lots of good information/artifacts plus a short video. You also get to take the steps to the top of the lighthouse. Plan to go on a clear day to see the entire island. My only complain is that it is a little pricy, but most things in Key West are. Go see the Hemingway House and the Key West Lighthouse and top off your day with lunch (or dinner) at Moondog Cafe (located right next to the Hemingway House).
