I underwent a two weeks rejuvenation treatment at Dr. Mahesh's Ayurvedic centre. Dr. Mahesh and his team of dedicated doctors, therapists and support staff have provided excellent treatment and care that made me feel special throughout the stay. I came out fully rejuvenated with remarkable improvement in all aspects of my health. The facility is very clean, self-contained and very suitable for international clientele. The vegetarian diet is also modulated to the western palate. I rate this facility and its services outstanding!

I arrived on my own as a newbie to solo travel and was immediately made feel comfortable and relaxed. I was then joined by my husband and son who were bowled over by Veda. It is fairly basic but has everything you could possibly need. Joseph is an exceptional yoga/meditation teacher, the cooking course was fun and informative, the massages a lovely addition and the food delicious. Don’t go anywhere else if you are looking for an authentic home stay.

I deliberately waited 3 months to write this review to let all the effects sink in. I had approached Dr. Veena to treat Systematic Lupus. I’m happy to report that after 3 weeks treatment and continuing with take home medicines, I’ve been able to cut down prednisone by 75%. I am still unable to be completely free of these chemicals but I understand autoimmune illnesses are stubborn and the hardest to cure. Dr. Veena was very clear about what to expect from our initial email exchanges. Realistic doctors who do not promise miracle cures is a good sign. I was very impressed by how much attention to detail both Dr. Veena and Dr Hemesh pays to the patient. They notice and inquire about everything such as the rashes on the bottom side of my chin (who could have thought to check!?) and the fact that I was standing up very slowly or that I kept a hand on my stomach. With holistic medicine these are the things that matter and I have never encountered more diligent doctors in my life. (I have been to a LOT of doctors) A detailed analysis in the beginning days is used to determine the patient’s body type and what is out of balance. More importantly Dr. Veena takes the time to ask about the effects of the treatment and how I am feeling several times every day. This results in a highly tailored approach to the individual, not just a blanket treatment plan for every patient who has a certain illness. And the ongoing adjustments ensure that I am getting the most appropriate treatment for my current condition. The body treatments are carried out by therapist Ana who is very patient and skilled. (Male patients have a male therapist) I feel glowing in wellbeing after each session, usually twice a day. Radha is a sweet lady in charge of meals and the household. Her cooking is very flavourful which made it easier for me to eat pure vegetarian for the duration of my stay. I even credit her in making me more vege based afterwards. It’s a great way to sample and learn about typical Kerala cuisine and the spices that one can use to enhance taste. The house is cleaned daily and so thoroughly. After 3 weeks I don’t know how to survive without Radha! My only gripe are the mosquitoes, but that is because I am a super mosquito magnet. There are screens on the windows. Dr. Veena provided me with mosquito light and mosquito repellent as well as an electric mosquito swatter. Next time I will just bring a mosquito net to sleep under. Dr. Veena’s husband Dr. Hemesh is an Ayurvedic doctor too who works at a government hospital. I had the good fortune of taking daily yoga sessions led by Dr. Hemesh in the early evenings. The style of yoga is the authentic kind, not the acrobatics that we often get in the west. I was surprised that such slow and seemingly light yoga had more profound results on my body. Later on I discovered I had much better flexibility which I did not achieve even when I did a crazy amount of ‘hard’ yoga before. I had the opportunity to ask all the little questions that I don’t get to ask in larger yoga classes. Dr. Hemesh was so patient and explained things to me from historic and modern point of view. Anything he could not answer he would look up in various texts and tell me the next day. Early in their career they chose not to be another one of those touristy massage places but to move to a quieter location where they could focus on people who were in search of healing. They are not in it for the money, even retroactively giving me back what was not used. Their honesty and goodheartedness was truly heart warming. The doctors' dedication to their craft is apparent in everything they do. I can tell they have a passion in bringing the benefits of Ayurveda to alleviate the sufferings of the world. I get the feeling that Dr. Veena and Dr. Hemesh are the perfect balance of being rooted in authenticity but with consideration of people’s modern lifestyles and mental state. They are good at coaxing the patient into doing their best and getting the maximum but also sustainable benefit of Ayurveda. They also have a seamless interface with western medicine. Well versed in all the medical terms and practices that patients come from. I felt very safe and confident that they knew how to work with the medications that I was already taking and how to slowly but surely reduce my reliance on them. Blood tests were very easy to get when needed. There’s a service that comes to the practice and results are sent back very quickly. Finally I want to say one does not expect one’s doctors to become friends, but that is what happens because Dr. Veena and Dr. Hemesh treat their patients like family. They took care of my needs in every possible way, even after I left. To this day Dr. Veena still checks in with me and helps me with any questions I have. I’m sure anyone new to Ayurveda is quite nervous. I feel so lucky that on my first trip to India, first time to try Ayurveda I was fortunate enough to encounter Dr. Veena and Dr. Hemesh. Their professionalism and sincerity have given me very good results and most importantly the faith that I won’t be a slave to medication forever. I should mention during my stay the other couple that was there were repeat customers. That is a sign that the treatment really helped. I look forward to my next session with Dr. Veena. I know it will make me even better. I also look forward to seeing the big toothy grin of their delightful little girl.

I felt as though I had been safely warmed within a cocoon of authentic immersion in both a culture and a way of life. Kerala was the perfect introduction for my first trip to India. My celestial herbalism group of ten traveled from multiple countries and gathered for a two week retreat to incorporate a deeper connection of our Vedic teachings while engaging with Greens Aryuveda, which offered both practical information for anyone wanting to immerse into the formulation of herbal preparations for panchakarma along with a physical awareness and invitation to honor one's life and connect with the divine practice and healing benefits of it. The support and care shared by the doctors, teachers, and staff is forever etched in my spirit. The hands on LIVE herbal preparation classes with Pharmacist Vaidya Karuna and his staff was truly a highlight of interpretation and helped synergize the alchemy and transformation of my experience. Dr Ashina's teaching and translation of our daily pharmacology/herbal studies were taught in bite size pieces and were totally digestible. Her attention to my personal clinical goals and panchakarma treatments, along with my therapists Swathi and Alina, were a comfort of reassurance and utmost professionalism throughout my stay. The morning yoga classes with Deepthi helped me to realign my physical challenges of my body and become more integrated with the theory of yoga while teaching my heart, mind, and spirit the art of breath and mantra. OM Shanti ,Shanti , Shanti Dr Asghar and the entire staff from the nutrition, housekeeping, boutique, pharmacy, security, car service, and please excuse me if I missed any other department, sincerely have a true gift of weaving together their knowledge, wisdom, and guidance which have all helped me realign my body's aches and pains, as well as my mind and spirit. It is now three months post discharge (my visit was in October 2019) and still taking my Aryuvedic medicine for my joint and hip pain and I am so grateful for the continued relief, but sooooo missing everyone's smiles along with my daily body treatments with my therapists ~♡~ Dr Asghar, along with the gracious Rinu Fathima Sarjina have formed a gem of a program within a beautiful community in Kerala. I highly recommend it. Suzanne Barroso Miami USA Aromatherapist- Distiller- SkinCareSpecialist

I stayed here 6 days Jan 2020 and had a course of treatments, the staff were attentive and kind. Mainly though the treatment worked I have returned home and some problems I have had as long as I can remember and thought were permanent have gone. I will return next year. They were also great value for money. Marie C

It is our utmost desire to help you to find your tranquillity of mind and body through our 'Science of Life', which is Ayurveda. Our aim is to restore the Prakruthi (your normal body-constitution), to avoid or remove the Vikruthi (disease) and to show you the way to a healthy life. We happily offer: Packages according to your real needs; Pristine medicines of our trusted source; English-speaking physician and therapists; Bathroom facilities on site; Multilingual information available at desk; Visa/Mastercard available. We also offer help in finding the right type of accommodation for your stay.
On a yoga retreat and based in a nearby hotel, our teacher Sam, recommended Prakruthi as an integral part of our experience. Many of us took up this and not one of us was disappointed. Dr Hari's pulse diagnosis and consultation is a great way to start. He is attentive, knowledgeable, patient in explaining the Ayurvedic system and making specific recommendations for treatments. All of which I followed with amazing benefits. Jojo is a gifted, kind, sensitive, intuative Ayurvedic practitioner. I am very grateful for his treatments and care. Alongside these and ones delivered by others in his team, I have returned to the UK feeling physically and mentally rejuvenated; persistent back and shoulder pain has significantly eased, my body feels looser and more supple and my mind is calmer and more relaxed. I have a lifestyle plan from Dr. Hari which I intend to follow and an intention to return next year for three weeks for their panchakarma package.
