Famous for Bourbon Country and horse farms, civil war battlefields and beautiful natural parks, Kentucky offers a delightful mix of experiences. You might begin in Lexington, where the 1200-acre Kentucky Horse Park is a popular attraction. The university adds exciting sports, impressive art and a vibrant student/professor population to the city. Louisville is similar, where renowned Churchill Downs hosts the annual Kentucky Derby and the Belle of Louisville, the nation’s oldest steam-driven river paddlewheeler, hosts enchanting lunch and dinner cruises along the beautiful Ohio River. Next, head south to visit Mammoth Cave National Park for a day of touring the cave (the world’s longest known cave), hiking and canoeing on the Green River. Paducah, Berea, Bowling Green – so many places to explore and enjoy!

Part thoroughbred race course, part sales company and considered one of America's most beautiful tracks, Keeneland is known for its well-designed and meticulous landscaping. The grounds consist of the paddock, a prep area where visitors can view horses up-close just before the race and a combination of dirt and turf race tracks.
Just a afternoon trip to see Keeneland before all the action starts APRIL 2-24 for live racing! A must is to stop by the GIFT SHOP great things for everyone! Many places to EAT but fun to wonder around grab something on the run to eat! Check out the paddock where you can get a closeup view of the horses and say “hi” to your favorite jockey or trainer! Great place to dress up and many restaurants to set down and eat( love The Lexington room on 4th floor). Arrive early and watch the morning workouts and have breakfast at the Track Kitchen (great food)!!! Very friendly people to help you with making your bets or finding great food!!! ENJOY ????

This beautiful racetrack has been the home of the Kentucky Derby since 1875.
Churchill Downs Louisville Ky. As the home of the internationally known Kentucky Derby as well as a long history of racing excellence Churchill Downs certainly needs no introduction. I can only relay a very unique opportunity accorded to me recently regarding Churchill Downs. We were invited to a recent event held there known as DAY AT THE RACES - CHURCHILL DOWNS. The host had secured the entire floor of the Starting Gates Tower for the entire day. The ability to experience a day of races from such a stylish and luxurious setting has ruined me for races for life. Having such amenities as leather bound chairs and tables while watching the races from picture windows, flat screen TV’s or stepping outside to your private balcony box seats is a treat. A number of guests were trainers or owners so we had the additional advantage of going inside the Paddock area. I can only imagine what it would be like for the Derby. This was magical enough.

I like this place. If you have not been before: First, it’s easy to locate in the previous Louisville Downs location. There’s lots of parking. If you don’t like crowds, go on a weekday or weeknight rather than weekends. Once inside, go to the back and sign up to get your free rewards membership card. You get to spin a wheel for free $ to get you started. (Most win $10, but I won $50 on this free spin). Next, check out the bar. The drinks are really surprisingly good! If you are hungry, Lil Wagner’s has very good sandwiches and sides. I like the BLT and love the unusual baked beans. The rest rooms are clean and well maintained. There’s a lot of slot machines of various denominations. There’s no smoke in the main room. Next, choose a slot machine. You will use their instructions to download your winnings from the earlier spin into your chosen slot machine. The spins are short, so your money can go fast if you bet big. There weren’t any video slot machines, my favorite. We all won around $20, so no complaints there. There are free soft drinks available at a soda station. Machines are available to cash in your winnings or there is a cashier. Overall, it feels exactly like a casino as soon as you pull up out front and walk thru the door. All the employees are nice. There are promotional contests going on most of the time too. We will go back.

This place is a blast! Who cares about the negative reviews, you shouldn't!!!! The house always wins AT ANY CASINO is the saying, but I must tell you....My last winning was I bet .020cents and hit $756 now that was AWESOME!! Each time I'm there I hear the excitement screams followed by consistently the announcements of the days jackpot winners, they have a lot of gaming promotions, a lot of on hand while your playing with your club card drawings for $100's of free play, a lot of holiday gift promotions, I consistently get mail with calendar showing everything for the months specialties, gaming promotions and days they happen, little coupons for free play on certain dates. I appreciate all the cokes and coffee I want are free AND I AM ONE who appreciates that they DONT GIVE ALCOHOL FOR FREE!!! For me me it makes a better, controlled, more positive enviroment. There is a big difference between the Smoking and Non- Smoking sections, well ventilated! There's times where every machine is available, there's peak times where you can expect delays on getting the machine you want, if you're even able to get the one you want, but I've NEVER been there and there wasn't any available machines! Sometimes I'm there everyday, every other day, few times a week and I ENJOY EVERYTIME!! NO I'm not an employee, no employee is an actual friend, in saying all that the staff is very professional, very friendly, and usually offer friendly encouragement!! They have a diner, my favorite the Steak n eggs is to die for! You can also grab a nice cup of espresso type, frap upgraded coffee in the coffee house which is accessible right through the diner. So I start my daytime playtime with a nice hot ex double shot caramel macchiato then to my favorite slot machine! THAT'S THE BEST!!!! SO OVER- ALL YEAH KENTUCKY DOWNS ROCKS!!!!

The wife and I have been going to these casinos for years now. Starting when Merv Griffin opened up Players casino in Metropolis IL. So many miles logged on those roads to Metropolis and Evansville. Anyway we were so excited about Oak Grove opening this up. Right out the gate my beautiful wife hit a few small progressives. Needless to say we gave it all back and more with in a few days. Being retired we like to just get out of the house and it is a fun place. We have eaten at the Steak house twice now it was ok, but they need to get a real onion soup recipe. We are not high rollers but not small either, many visits and all through the snow storm I got us there in one piece Be sure to wear your mask. I've seen folks with them off and I prefer to have mine off while at machine. Security let me know to fix that, I might have stuck myself then. We just can't get any play money there yet, we don't mind feeding them but, the return is not good for us yet. But that's gambling. I could never understand a casino that has folks that come in on a regular basis ... I mean almost every night for the last six weeks and I'm serious.` So that's my warning mask up. I won't tell how much we fed them but it was some change. Slowing down after our St. Patrick's visit tonight and I did not Max bet either. I always max bet... 1st time. Like I said not driving up those roads had me excited about Oak Grove. We'll try a little longer... It's beautiful lay out and being a smoker, those complaining about smoke is not true IMO they ventilate very well. The bands that they have had that we've seen are pretty good. It's fun place. We like it better than the others even though I'm still wishing to hit that Jackpot they mic out over those loud speakers constantly. But hey that's a good thing. And that's gambling. GOOD LUCK TO Y'ALL PS... I get to sleep in my own bed... NO COMP THERE... HELLO OG
