The permanent collection is magnificent and each revolving exhibition is worth exploring at length. It's a luxurious place to learn about history, sociology, and couture designs over the last two centuries. People come from all over the globe to study the latest trends at this acclaimed school of fashion and design. The school’s world-class reputation extends to this marvelous public museum. It's recently reopened and the staff has gone to great lengths to make sure it's safe yet comfortable to browse through. Make sure you take the time to check out the splendor on display in the gift shop; it is always stocked with original pieces of jewelry, gorgeous accessories, and wearable original pieces - some even designed by the students who are all destined to become stellar in their chosen professional services.

The people who run this are very nice, would highly recommend this for anyone. This was our first kayak adventure on a river and it went great. We had been on a lake, but going down the river beats that any day.

It was an appropriately overcast and rainy day when we arrived a the May 4 Site in August of 2020. The Visitors Center was closed to visitors, but we did walk the site, which was a very moving experience. The old plaque marking the site is there, but there is also a fitting memorial that has been added in recent years. Beyond a threshold that implores: learn, inquire, reflect, are four granite slabs honoring Allison Beth Krause, 19; Jeffrey Glenn Miller, 20; Sandra Lee Scheuer, 20, and William Knox Schroeder, 19 who were shot by members of the National Guard on May 4, 1970. In a nearby parking lot, the actual sites where the students were killed are set off by stanchions. Just up a hill is a work of modern art (Don Drumm's 'Heart of Steel') bears a bullet hole freezing the moment in time.
