It's on two floors. Second floor more changing art gallery exhibit. Has gift shop, clean bathrooms. A lot larger than what is held in there. In other words lots of unused space. Go upstairs and see totem pole by huge window that overlooks lake. When u go to bathroom go straight back and to right to see minerals in glass case. Very interesting and lots to learn and read.

Downtown Kenosha Wisconsin

We enjoy visiting downtown Kenosha. They have a wonderful Farmers Market on Saturdays near the museums. The museums are wonderful and free - only asking for suggested donations. Added bonus is the ample shoreline with a paved path to walk along Lake Michigan. There's always a lot of boating activity going on in the summer - fun to see the boats come into the harbors. Downtown has a number of nice, small shops and a good assortment of restaurants to stop into. Our family always has a good time for day trips.

This streetcar line ends up at the local commuter train station and departs for the lake front area of the old downtown. It is remarkable how Kenosha has invested in the old restore the street cars and made them a fun asset for people touring the area. Stops at local museums and staffed by folks who love the run the streetcars. There are many stops to get off and on at.
Thanks Kenosha team for in insight to do this.

Bristol Renaissance Faire

Be transported back in time and experience 'all the fun of the faire' in Bristol's annual Renaissance Faire. Be entertained by jugglers, jesters, aerialists, and acrobats, and watch knights battle on horseback for the king's favor. Try your hand at axe-throwing, fire a cannon, and wield a crossbow before settling down for a show of fire eating, puppeteers, minstrels, and dancers. This is a festival where literally anything is possible.

We are the Grandparents, and said "a wedding where". We went not knowing what we would see or do, and had a ball.
It was PACKED, as this was the last weekend - ( July and August week ends and Labor Day weekend for the last 30 years). It is all you think it might be and more. Enough to do for all ages. Food, activities, things to buy, etc. The cost is FAIRE Prices.
They doTwo weddings per day with all the trappings, and then there is a chance to get into the Renaissance Faire Idea and fun if you came for a wedding. Most folks were not even aware there were weddings going on at the end of the park!
NOTE: As my wife has trouble walking, they have wheelchairs to use. Next time we will bring our own, but theirs worked just fine. The field is up and down, so walking is NOT on a flat area. Crowded, so come early ( 10AM to 7PM) to park close, and get in a shorter line for everything. If you are going to a wedding, it is at the north end by the lake, and you come in at the south end, so prepared to walk!
But with all that said, we had a great time! If you are looking for leather goods, jewelry, cloths, metal items, etc or want to play with the swordsman, the musicians, the artisans this is your day. ENJOY!

Dinosaur Discovery Museum is a very small museum, but the admission is free with a small suggested donation. It's just the right size for smaller kids who are still learning how to behave in a museum. My sons are 5 and 7, and they loved it. All of the skeletons are in one big exhibit in the same room, so it's really convenient for families with small kids. They can just keep circling the exhibit without getting out of your sight. You will also find a small classroom on the lower level where the kids can color and look at dinosaur books.

America's Action Territory Family Fun Park

America's Action Territory is one of the Midwest's finest year around family entertainment complexes. Go-Karts, Mini Golf, Laser Tag, and more! We specialize in Group Outings/Field Trips and we are home of Kenosha's Best Birthday Parties! Please see our website for hours of operation.

Reviewed By WITraveler3353 - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

If you are thinking about going here for a date night or pass some time as an adult, be warned there are sooooo many kids! We had a little time to kill so we stopped in to see what Action Territory was about. Believe it or not, they had the outdoor go carts running in February! It was about $30 for four of us to do one race. We didn't have to wait too long and were sent out on the track. These go carts are in pretty rough shape but they still do the job and are a good speed for kids. They let you get enough laps in that you feel like you got your money's worth.

We then went back inside to check out the arcade and immediately felt out of place. There were lots of birthday parties, yelling kids, and messes everywhere. I don't see why someone would want to have a party here for their kids. It can easily get expensive and it's just chaos.
