We arrived in Kempsey for an overnight stay, on a Friday. Dropped in on Friday just after lunch to enjoy a bowl. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Even though there was a huge school group there (we went early to avoid the end of school rush hour near 3pm!!) there were lanes available to us. Service was quick and help nearby when we needed an extra small, light ball for my young one. Galactic lights were most fun and shoes glowing in the dark a great bonus. We had a reasonably priced slushy on the way out ... too big to consume! After coming from much larger towns with zero activities for kids open on weekdays this was a delight. If we pass through again we would definitely look to support this great small business.

The Dunghutti-Ngaku Aboriginal Art Gallery was established in 2008. We celebrate the talents of established and emerging Indigenous artists from the Mid North Coast area of New South Wales, Australia. The gallery has on display a range of paintings, prints, sculptures and textiles; with both a permanent display and regularly changing exhibitions. The gallery also has for sale a range of Aboriginal themed merchandise. Dunghutti-Ngaku Aboriginal Art Gallery is a dealer member of the Indigenous Art Code, and is supported through the Australian Government's Indigenous Visual Arts Support program.
A gem! We were drawn to Kempsey to visit the slim dusty centre and discovered this cultural gem. We will be returning with the kids, so much talent and culture on display.

Stopping in for a picnic lunch on way up the coast. Great spot! Heaps for kids of all ages to do. BBQ’s are available and under cover seating. Huge open grad areas for kids to run around. There is also a flying fox, swings, slides and other play equipment. Very clean and tidy toilets available as well. Heaps of local birds around. Great spot to stop.
