Once you've visited Colmar in a day this is a great way to visit some of the surrounding villages that are all really pretty. Quite a lot of walking involved to explore the different areas. I imagine that in the summer it gets very busy. We were lucky as it was sunny and quiet with a group of 5. Thanks Ivan for your patience and to try and answer all our questions. Pick up at the hotel at 9h and returned around 17h. A full day out.

Great trip! A good balance between wine tasting, sightseeing trough the vineyards and beautiful villages. Our guide was well known with the region, wine production and the taste of wine. Also nice that we only visited organic / bio winemakers. This tour is highly recommended if you prefer small scale wineries and love an intimate tour around the Alsace area.

My husband and I decided to do a personalized tour - we stayed in Colmar, and wanted to see haut koenigsbourg and visit 2 grand cru wineries in the afternoon. The booking process and communication with Ophorus was easy. Our tour guide was Florence, who was highly knowledgeable about the history of Alsace, the castle we visited, and the wines we tasted. She was flexible with our itinerary, which we appreciated. We were so impressed with how much she knew, and we are so glad we went with a tour!

Our first stop will take you to Bergheim, a superb village on the wine route, which has many hidden wonders in the heart of its medieval walls. You will then have the opportunity to visit the charming town of Ribeauvillé, former stronghold of the Lords of Ribeaupierre. After a visit to Hunawihr and a photo stop in front of its famous fountain, you can have lunch in the village of Riquewihr, one of the best known in the region, especially for its privileged location in the heart of the vineyard. The visits will continue by two villages also famous for their historical character: Kaysersberg and Eguisheim. Wine lovers will particularly appreciate the next stop, at the famous "Belvédère Cattin", offering a panoramic view of the plain of Alsace, with in the distance the Black Forest. This stop will also allow you to discover an art gallery and - of course - for those who wish, the possibility of buying Alsace wine.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, WiFi on board, Parking Fees
Exclusions: We will make a stop at noon allowing you to have lunch in Riquewihr., Gratuities, Alcoholic Beverages, Snacks
We were staying in Strasbourg for a few days at Christmas and wanted to find a way to see Christmas markets in other cities with out renting a car and this seemed to be a good way to do it. Spouse and I were picked up on schedule, along with seven other people in a 15 person Mercedes van. Our driver, Martin, was courteous and a good drive. Over the course of 9.5 hours, we saw three French markets. In total, we spent six hours touring markets and the remainder of the time traveling. While we accomplished our goal of visiting other Christmas markets outside Strasbourg, I feel the price ($226 for two people) was too high. If I had to do it over again, I would buy a much cheaper train ticket from Strasbourg to Colmar and forget about the other two stops.
