Relaxing and pristine Kauai (the Garden Island) is the least commercially developed of the Hawaiian islands. Waterfalls, scenic drives and more than 60 beaches dot the landscape. Some beaches have great snorkeling, others offer child-friendly tidal pools and some are perfect for all kinds of water sports. Dry-land activities include hiking the Kalalau Trail on the Na Pali coastline, taking a day trip to Waimea Canyon and experiencing life on a sugar plantation at Grove Farm Homestead Museum.

This is a very nice course with three outstanding holes on the back nine around the coastline. It is expensive, $190 at noon If you love the picturesqueness of golf it is worth money. Make sure you bring your camera.

It’s like playing in paradise. I hadn’t planned on playing on holiday - as it was a bit expensive and I didn’t want to take my clubs from UK to Hawaii. However when I arrived and saw how stunning it is, I couldn’t resist. The practice range and greens are spectacular - with as many balls as you need. The course itself is incredible, the tee boxes are nice they could be greens, and the greens and fairways are immaculate. And the views are unbeatable. Rental clubs were great, with Callaway Rogue irons and Hybrids, Callaway Epic Flash driver, Callaway Mack daddy SW & GW, odyssey exo putter and I can’t remember the 3-wood. Plus you get 6 Makai branded balls. Golf carts with GPS and distance to the green are included with the green fees, which makes things a lot easier. The staff are great - checking in regularly along the course to see if you need anything and sometimes offering advice. The drinks cart finds you a couple of times on the course too. Ice cold beers just makes it even better. It’s awesome, can’t recommend it enough.

The first day I played a short round (7 holes), partly to loosen up, partly to test some rental clubs before I played a full round. Good idea. The pro shop staff were very helpful and friendly. The course was in great shape, and made more delightful with all the birds - chickens and geese - almost everywhere. Yes, it was breezy and it rained a little, but the weather did not hinder having a fun and scenic round. This course was recommended by a friend who loved it too. Glad he did.

An older course making a comeback under new management.
We played 7 rounds here in 2 weeks and loved it. Managed to play as a twosome and got around in 3 hours. Great views and a beautiful course

A golf course where a round of golf costs less than 20 dollars.
We played all the top Kauai courses and then came back to Wailua. It is such an incredible value. The course was pristine. Greens rolled true. Awesome ocean views from 4 or 5 holes. Fun.

Newly renovated Ocean Course winds its way through mango and guava groves to dramatic seaside cliffs and exceptional ocean views. The longest oceanfront golf in all of Hawaii! MSN Travel called the Ocean Course one of the world's twelve most beautiful courses. It's little wonder that the list of accolades for this Jack Nicklaus Signature track is as long as its string of holes that hug the Pacific. The Ocean Course offers the longest and most continuous stretch of oceanfront golf in all of Hawaii. It is a certain highlight of every visit. Recently renovated all 18 holes are in fabulous shape. Future enhancements include a welcoming new clubhouse on the inland waterway overlooking the 9th hole, along with a world-class practice facility. Both promise to take your game, and your vacation, to the next level.
Where do I start? The course is amazing. Spectacular views. Two completely different 9 hole courses. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Staff is AMAZING. They truly make you feel like Ohana. Golfed 10 rounds this past October. Wind is a huge factor in this course. You will not be disappointed. VIEWS will blow you away.

Even though the course just raised its rates to $15 for 9 holes, this is a fun place to golf. The course itself isn't in the best of shape but you are in Hawaii and paying $15! The views are unbelievable and you get to hit a golf ball around a fun little course. Excellent value.
