We went with Raj to Gokyo Ri and from there over the Cho la Pass to Everest Base Camp. It took us 15 days and it was one of the best treks ever. The landscape and especially the mountains are breathtaking. During the trek, Raj became a really good friend and we had the best time ever. His English skills are very good and since he knows so many people on this hike, you will get in touch with the history and culture of the people in the Kumbu Valley. In addition, Raj knows the trails so well that he gives you an exact route description every day! If I go back to Nepal I will definitely do another trek with Raj! If you are looking for the full Nepal experience, check out their program! Highly recommended!

I trekked with Tsering and his team at Dolma Treks in Nov 2018 in the Langtang valley. I had dreamt of trekking in the Himalayas for over 30 years so my expectations were high to say the least. Well...Tsering and his team exceeded these and more. Over the course of nearly the weeks, I feel in love with Nepal. My main concern is when I can make it back to explore more of this beautiful country and the people who call it home! And when I do, I'll try to persuade Tsering to be my guide ????

This trip is designed in such a way that it helps travelers to explore the local lifestyle of people in Kathmandu including one of the most visited UNESCO enlisted heritage sites and the rest of all the equally interesting but less explored sites of Kathmandu & Bhaktapur city. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the biggest Stupas in South Asia. The giant Stupa is a gateway to heaven serving as a horizon between the earth and sky. The eyes of Buddha painted on Stupa are diversely described as mysterious, impassive, empathy & shrewd. Nawatan Dham, a less explored site but rich in cultural value is a holy shrine of Hindus. Nagadesh is an old city in Bhaktapur that holds ancient values. Shankha Statue park is in the old city Patan, at the bank of Bagmati river. It is a peaceful & fun place to visit. We make sure that who picks this short trip, will not only explore the sites but also learn the culture, lifestyle of people & other shades & sides of Kathmandu & Bhaktapur. Enjoy the trip!

National Museum is the first public museum of Nepal which was not opened till 1938 to general public. It was accessible to the general public in 1938 AD and was named as “Chhauni Silkhana“.It was renamed as Nepal Museum in 1942. I recently visited Nepal (Dec 2019) for a second time, this time with family including kids and parents. I want to share some of the experiences which might help those planning their trip to this beautiful country. I booked my travel again with Shakti travels due to a very good experience 3 years ago. Mr.Suresh Nakarmi was very attentive to our requirements and needs, and everything was planned ahead of time to our satisfaction. After a very long flight journey from US, we were greeted at the airport and comfortably rested for remainder of the evening. The hotel selection and food availability throughout the trip were fantastic. Especially, Pokhara and Kathmandu were the best parts of the trip. Overnight stay at Nagarkot was blissful. The rest of the trip was very productive with a lot of learning about the culture and tradition and enjoying the beautiful picturesque landscapes. We had an unexpected incident on the trip, and the prompt attention and flexibility demonstrated by Mr.Suresh Nakarmi and our friend Man Bahadur Keshava deserve special thanks to excel in time of need and urgency. Mr. Suresh would call my parents and check on every day while they were on a separate trip for few days. I would recommend Shakti travels for planning and touring any part of Nepal without any reservation. It would take away the hassles of planning, reservations, transport, lodging, dining, and local barriers and provide quality time to enjoy the vacation in this beautiful country with breathtaking terrains and stunning views. Thumbs up to Shakti travels and their team.
