The bazaar of Kashaan is an old bazaar in the city center. It's thought to have been built in the Seljuk era and renovated during the Safavid period. The bazaar has famous architecture, especially at its Timche-ye Amin od-Dowleh section, where a grand light well was built in the 19th century. The bazaar is a few miles in total length and houses shops, baths, tombs, mosques, arcades, and more.
The old bazaar of Kashan is an old living thing. It is historical and up-to-date at the same time. There are lots of souvenir shops from Persian carpet shop to hand-made pottery and other shops. You can not only buy souvenirs but also can walk and watch the art of Persian masons. The great old bazaar of Kashan is the best place to capture pictures for your Instagram.

Rode our cycles from Kashan to here and it was well worth the rough road and the mad traffic. I believe this was rediscovered only 13 years ago by a man digging in his backyard. You start the tour with a look at big underground cistern and then go one floor of the labyrinth. There are 3 levels and you can see in places down to the other levels but visitors dont go down there. It is pretty busy with a lot of people going through but its possible to have a guide speak to you about the underground city in English. May not suit the claustrophobic but otherwise fascinating!
