An Amazing day tour at kochi!! Was planning to write a review for tyndis after experiencing tyndis day tour in kochi. 1, I would like to appreciate the story teller- Mr. Midhun For reciting the hidden history of fort kochi and accompanying me to all the historic spots Which i always had a plan to visit. We went to few cafes and well recommended one is pepper house. 2. Was quite lucky to be there at the fishing spot and got a chance to join the fisherman and experience the Chinese fishing net. There were also small eateries specialized for seafood where you can experience live cooking of fish. I tried the authentic kerala style Thava fish which was truly delicious. 3. By evening we went to Iringol kavu which is really a must recommend Place where we did an amazing walk through the sacred groves. Once again thanks to the entire tyndis family for being so passionate about what they are doing and special thanks to Midhun for being an awesome story teller.

Background of puppetry Yakshagana puppetry has existed for centuries. The modern form of the art, however, was largely molded by the brothers Laxman, Narasimha, and Manjappa Kamath; who hailed from Uppinakudru village, Kundapur taluk. Devanna Padmanabha Kamath, the grandson of Laxman Kamath infused new life into the art and performed shows all over India. Later, Kogga Devanna Kamath improved this subgenre even further, being recognized with the Tulsi Samman and Sangeet Natak Akademi Awards. His son, Bhaskar Kogga Kamath, is currently performing shows while training others in the art of Yakshagana puppetry. K. V. Ramesh is a leading puppeteer from Kasaragod. He leads the Yakshagana puppet troupe Shri Gopalakrishna Yakshagana Gombeyata Sangha.

The Southern part of the coast from Goa to Kanya Kumari is called Malabar Coast. This part of the coast is not as rocky as the Konkan Coast. All along the coast sand bars have been formed by the sea-waves. The sea waves bring sand with them and deposit it along the coast. These sand bars prevent the water of the small streams from going to the sea. As a result backwaters or lagoons have been formed along this shore. This picturesque strip of coast is peppered with picture-postcard beaches, fishing villages, magnificent ruined forts and temples.

Northern Style This system generally gives much importance for physical flexibility exercises. These exercises are done individually and as combinations. After that meypayattu (equivalent of Karate kata) is taught. These are combination of flexibility exercises with attacking/defence techniques but the actual techniques are taught very much later. Traditionally the number of meypayattu may differ as per the teaching methods of the Guru. After the student learns meypayattu, stick fighting is taught. Generally a majority of the Kalaris (schools that teach Kalaripayattu) start training with weapons within 3 to 6 months. But some Kalaris allow taking each weapon once in a year only. After long stick and small stick fighting iron weapons are introduced. Training is begun with the dagger, sword and then the spear. Not all modern schools use specialized weapons. Traditionally, bows and arrows were commonly used in Kerala and students were trained in these techniques, but it is uncommon now.
