go up have panaromic view of Kars and also have a good walking Understand Kars Castle was built in 1153 by the Saltuk Sultan probably incorporating an earlier Bagratid Armenian fortification. It was connected to the city walls which were built around the same time. It was built on a hill in a bend in the Kars River with a commanding view over the city. this great castle is accessible during the day time

It was sad seeing this beautiful house in such a neglected state. I’m sure it had a great stories and past memories. I just entered and tried to imagine how it was by his glorious years. It’s a shame that the municipality left this house looses its beauty. Hope one day, someone will take care of this property and restore its beauty back and make a good use of it.
