Located in the Business district of Karachi, it is the only museum of its kind in Pakistan that offers an insight to creation of money, its printing, circulation, regulation of Pakistani Currency - the Rupee. It has in its display all notes that are or were in circulation including a vast collection of current and historic coins. History of the central Bank, pictures of its inauguration, speeches of the Quaid, original treaties, documents, manuscripts, details of Governors, and historical desks, rooms and artefacts including an original gold weighing scale, note sorter, etc are on display Commemorative coins issued by the State Bank are also on display. A separate section on stamps and original collection of the famous calligraphist Sadequain, who in early days worked for State bank are also on display in different galleries. A souvenir shop sells replicas of artefacts too. The building itself is impressive that was built before the creation of Pakistan and housed the Imperial Bank of India. It is a grotesque structure made in pink Jaisalmeer stone that was brought in from Rajasthan. It has a grand entrace and is open to all. A lot of students visit the place where they have conducted tours too. Though the building is located on the mani Chundrigar Road with large D shaped garden and grand driveway but entrance is from a security gate on the side Mumtaz Hasan Road.

This market never fails to impress! I always end up buying something, be it my own clothing, or my daughter's or for a friend, Over the years, the market has expanded with more shops, adjacent buildings turning to the ready-made garments of export quality. My sister-in-law from US bought a horde of things, giveaways on her recent trip. She had visited the place 10 tears as well. So it continues to thrive.

This is a visually stunning mosque from the outside and the inside. Its simple almost flat dome structure is very non typical of mosques but this is really where this sets itself apart from the others. Look into the history and how it was built, very good collaboration with the Turks and the Pakistanis. One thing you'll note inside is the vastness of space, the thousands of small holes (you'll know what I mean once you've seen it) and different galaxy type effects on its ceiling. You'll also notice that there are no beams anywhere and this is where the magic of this design comes from. A must see, not far from Defence

We have visited the mall with family many times in past and lastly just last month it was a pleasant trip for us.In underground parking area with numbers & electric lights we felt just we were in some well developed country. In shopping area well kept and neat shops are feast for the eyes.We did shopping in the main shopping place.Purchased roasted chicken pieces from cooking area, few good gardening items , few fresh fruit & vegetable items as well.In the end we were handled with courtesy & well behaved lady at counter with automated machines.Definitely we recommend this place for shopping to other families as well.
