This is one cascade one could interact with .The waterfall appears to tolerate much activity at first glance .It certainly provides the opportunities but keep and eye on any change in water level as Galboda is a highly dynamic when it comes to changes in water flow .It could be sedate and fascinating but within seconds the the waters could roar. Be watchful in the afternoon and particularly at a time when the weather is on the rainy side.

Galboda is an isolated village located in between Nawalapitiya and Watawala, in the Colombo-Badulla, the upcountry railway. Since there is not a well-developed road system yet, the railway is the only source of transportation for the villages and travelers.
About a 5 hour train ride from Colombo to Galaboda station. From the station there's a very easy hike for about 1 hour to the falls. You can spend as much time as possible there, can even bath. Water is so cold ;) I woundn't say bathing is entirely safe for all ages since there are some pits under water :) You can finish everything within about 5 hours and come to station and catch the train around 4pm. It's a brilliant place for a oneday trip. Not only the water fall, path towards it is filled with beautiful scenaries. Highly recommend ;)

It is a remarkably beautiful place, which has breathtaking views and unspoilt extraordinary environment. This is located near Frotoft Tea Estate in Pussallawa, Sri Lanka. This is believed to be the route, which King Ravana took Seetha from his capital

An extremely spacious to have a bath in a natural area in nawalapitiya.it is nearby hindford railway station on colombo _ badulla railway line.though this is not a waterfall but its width makes a huge water sliding experience over the stone surfaces.it is a 20m sliding up to down basin which cannot be stopped on the way.sometimes,it may be dangerous.be careful and someone must be down basin to keep in touch the sliding one.

This is also called Kataboola falls. The fall and the arch bridge make this one of the most scenic waterfalls in the country. This fall consists of two main cascades. The bottom of both cascades can be reached by foot. Also there are signs posted warning of deep pools of water and better to be cautious.

Beautiful gardens just outside of the town, quite large well laid out and easy to navigate , lots of unusual plants and trees with a large poulation of fruit bats at the top end of the gardens. Well worth a trip and easy to spend 3 or 4 hours here. Nice orchid house and a variety of animal and bird life.
