Galle Fort, the fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. Today’s town has grown greatly and spreads into the surroundings but the Fort is the slow beating heart of Galle‘s history. The walled city has stood since the early sixteenth century, through the Colonial periods of the Portuguese, Dutch and British and in our present times is proclaimed as an Archaeological Reserve and has been identified as a living World Heritage Site. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this historic city is a delight to explore on foot, an endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient churches, grand mansions and museums. Wandering its rambling lanes you'll pass stylish cafes, quirky boutiques and impeccably restored hotels owned by local and foreign artists, writers, photographers and designers.

Great service - incredibly flexible and made you feel safe and secure during these trying times We originally reached out to Arun to help plan a 12 day custom itinerary - he was super responsive and accomodating but also suggested new ideas I didn’t think of or pushed back if my list of items was too much for short period. Unfortunately, due to the rise in cases, we need to cut our trip last minute. He really helped take care of us when we went from a 12 day to 4 day including scheduling pcr tests, scrambling to find a safe and secure hotel and even coming into the office on Sunday to sort it out as we didn’t have WiFi at camp Ravi, our guide/driver is very personable and loves to share his love for Sri Lanka with you. Open to all questions about life, culture and history - he made an otherwise boring 2 hour transfer feel like part of our trip! He also was super accommodating with our changing plans as we were hesitant to do some items with the rapidly changing COVID situation. He went above and beyond to answe our questions, and schedule a Buddhist lecture and meditation session Thank you both for taking care of us these last few days ! Highly recommend!

Kalpitiya is perfect for dolphin and whale watching, as you do not have to head out too deep into the Ocean: the continental shelf is much closer than reported in admiralty charts, so much so, the shelf actually runs near and alongside the shoreline. This translates into being able to see many species of marine life - in just a short boat ride away from the shore. You will be led by trained English-speaking guides, who will brief you on everything you wish to know about the dolphins/whales you encounter. Watching dolphins leap, swimming alongside you and under your boat - is truly an unforgettable experience. The sea will not be as rough during this period as it is during the monsoon season and it will be easier to spot dolphins given good visibility.

Our tour started with the pick up from our hotel at Galle fort. Roshan was so friendly and extremely informative. Had a wonderful day with new friends, enjoying the scenery and hiking the Rainforest. This should be in everyone's list when visiting Sri Lanka. Loved the added bonus of Tea factory visit. Guide Wigitha made the day amazing. Although no rain in the rainforest ,this day made the hike a bit less slippery, the flora, fauna and the waterfall -- all made a lovely day. One of our Dreams was to swim under the waterfall, and we got a chance to do it here. Transportation was comfortable and efficient, and the lunch was delicious. Would highly recommend this tour and also this tour company.
One of the many reasons as to why people visit Sri Lanka is because of its very diverse wildlife. From flora to fauna, a lot of species are only endemic to Sri Lanka. A lot of people, even the locals come to nature reserves and forests to get a glimpse of rare creatures for maybe once in their whole lifetime. Allot of nature reserves and sanctuaries are in Sri Lanka in order to protect the wildlife from human interests that might harm the animals including poaching. Visitors are allowed in to these reserves where you can take safari trips with a trained guide provided by the reserves themselves.

Lovely day out. My driver, Adhil, was great. I was keen to leave earlier than the scheduled 8am start (to beat the traffic), and to go to Sigirya first (so we weren’t walking up during the hot part of the day). This was no problem for Adhil, and he was promptly waiting outside my Guest House at 7am. His historic information about the sites also saved me the cost of hiring a guide.
Being able to enjoy great entertainment And Traveling differently. We believe it will be a good experience for you...

My partner and I had a wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka, and were able to see much more of the country than we had expected, as everything was made so easy and convenient for us by the drivers at Visit So Sri Lanka. We met Duminda by chance in Colombo, on the second day of our holiday - at which stage we were unsure on the best way to get around the country. We had a surfboard and had read conflicting reviews about the trains - how busy they were and difficult to book etc. We didn't want to risk losing days of our holiday by missing trains or not being able to fit our big backpacks and board on. Having a driver was perfect, so easy. We learned valuable information about the culture and places from our driver, and visited places that we hadn't stumbled across whilst researching prior to our trip. We took the drivers between most places, and if we stopped somewhere for a few days, we would part ways until we needed to travel to the next place. So we had a good balance of time on our own and having a guided tour. Duminda was so accommodating - if we needed to leave a place early in the morning to get to our next destination, it was no problem. If we decided we wanted to change our route at the last minute, he was happy to rearrange for us. If we wanted to stop for lunch to break up the journey, he could always recommend a good curry buffet! Visit So Sri Lanka Tours are very passionate about tourists enjoying their country and experiencing the best places, sights and activities, because they love their country and want others to love it too! As per our initial plans, we weren't going to have time to see Sigiriya or do a safari, but Duminda was able to suggest an alternative itinerary so that we were able to do this. We are very grateful to this company for helping to make our holiday one that was full of adventure and will not be forgotten!
(SKU: LK109A3011) Sri Lanka though a renowned leisure destination for its mesmeric hill country, exquisite beaches, and fascinating cultural attraction of ancient cities and shrines is not a destination that readily comes to mind for a golfing holiday. If you look up the Sri Lanka Map you will learn to your delightful surprise that you can easily fit in three fabulous golf courses of all Asia located at three elevations.

The park offers everything that is needed for an exciting safari. Great landscapes, many animals, especially elephants! We were very close to the elephants and were very lucky to be able to watch a whole herd and also some baby elephants. Furthermore, I would like to emphasize our tour guide - not only did he inspire and excite us with his very good mood, he also saw many small animals with his trained eye and answered our questions thoroughly. The 3 hours passed by in no time and gave us many nice memories. Would totally recommend booking a trip with these guys :-)

This was a great tour. I did it solo so I was a little concerned but my guide Mr Chandala was great and put me at ease. He was both driver and guide and he looked after me really well. On this tour, I saw lots of dolphins at Kalpitiya, tons of elephants at each if the four national parks on the tour. Minneriya and Udalawawa were the best for elephants. We climbed Siguriya and Pidurangala, which had great views, just be aware that you will scramble over rocks climbing Pidurangala so you'd better be in decent shape. But the views and the photos were worth it. I suggest a decent camera with a telephoto lens for the national parks and bird sanctuary for the best photos, but I got decent ones with only a cell phone. I was lucky enough to see 2 leopards in Yala. Wow! With a better camera, my photos would have been amazing. I visited an elephant transit home for orphaned baby elephants also. I was initially worried it was a fake one and just to make money but they are recognized by a German zoo and the baby elephants are not chained or anything. All the places visited on this tour treat animals ethically and humanely. The company was very concerned with my satisfaction and went above and beyond. I highly recommend this tour and the tour company.

I booked this class as I wanted to know more about Sri Lankan dance styles- and I got much more by learning so much about Sri Lankan culture as well. The class was very good, experienced and learned basic steps and hand moves, and got to play the drum as well! The organizers are professional and the ladies are absolutely fabulous! If you have the chance you definitely should try this.
