We look forward to the fresh locally produced produce at the Farmer's Market. Unlike in some communities where there are perhaps a dozen farmers or less offering wares, the Banks Street Market has dozens, plus an assortment of artisans offering a variety of items and foods locally produced. The market is a thriving, busy and, crowded area on Saturday mornings. Most of the vendors are repeat vendors from year to year and it is easy to form informal friendships and customer relationships with them.

Gene has been a staple for our autumn adventures for 4 generations. He greets everyone like they're an old friend - with a smile and a free cook book with pumpkin recipes. Open areas make it easy for large groups to wander in wonder.

The north part of this trail is very challenging to one and all....but especially to bikers!! Very very hilly and curvy. After you get through that it is pretty straight with just a couple surprise hills here and there!! This trail is paved and has a divided line painted on it. It goes past the Kalamazoo Nature Center and Markin Glen County Park!!

visiting our daughter on the west coast of Michigan we took a hike through the trails. It's a casual and well-maintained trail and a great spot for a fall hike. The park was particularly busy, but the weather was perfect and I would expect nothing less on a day like that.
