This yoga studio is in an old plantation style house in Kalaheo just off the main road to Waimea. Easy to find. Welcoming lovely airy space with wooden floors and beautiful decoration. Great teacher, friendly people. Absolutely loved in and felt great afterwards. Just wish we had a studio like this where I live. Thumbs up from this Yogi.

My family has lived within 10 minutes of this place for over a hundred years and never heard about it!! My son found it online and just happened they were doing tours this past Sunday. They offer you tea and cookies, homemade by the "aunties" that volunteer there. Then there is a presentation about 30 minutes long about the culture and history of the place. It is pretty amazing!! It was raining a little, so they passed panchos out to everyone. Did I mention that this is all FREE?? By donation, but they don't ask you to donate. They just have little bowls out. We gave about $20 per person. The hike itself and visiting the pavilion takes about 30 minutes if you don't stop walking. It is built into the side of the hill and zig zags up and down the hill. If you have vertigo, or are afraid of heights, this is probably not good for you to do. Also not good for small children as their are areas with no handrails that is an easy 10 foot + drop. But if you are able to experience it, you will leave feeling at peace and lighter.

Ukulele, Baritone and Guitar Sales, Lessons & Maintenance Services. Song & Instructional Books & Materials.
We stopped here for a quick look at ukuleles for my kids and were blown away with the service and time spent showing my kids how to play and care for their ukuleles. Ron was patient, kind, and gave them a good overview of instruments without trying to pressure sale or get them in to an overpriced instrument (not that theirs are overpriced but he didn’t push the expensive units. Both girls felt comfortable and confident, asked questions, for solid answers, and felt like they made friends. And me? I’m excited to watch and hear them learn this instrument!

We had such a great time visiting the Kauai Coffee Company! We loved the Coffee on the Brain tour - you learn so much about brewing, coffee beans, and you also get a tour of the farm. We would definitely go back next time, even though we have already been. We loved it!

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) really enjoyed exploring this place. We were staying nearby, so this wasn't a difficult drive. We casually browsed around for about an hour. It was a perfect break from the beach. We all found this place to be interesting. Definitely worth the visit. You have to crawl on all fours to get through the entrance, but the distance is very short (you can easily see through) and then you are essentially in open air and standing from there. The cave is free, but there is a box to make a donation.

Even though the course just raised its rates to $15 for 9 holes, this is a fun place to golf. The course itself isn't in the best of shape but you are in Hawaii and paying $15! The views are unbelievable and you get to hit a golf ball around a fun little course. Excellent value.

Driving through the tunnel of trees on the way to Koloa is a must---you turn left off the main highway and its as if time reverts to a simpler era. The greenery is magnificent, local flora and fauna at its best. On each of our visits to Kauai, we always start with this journey, its almost as if the island is welcoming you home.
