Learn how to surf the Kona style waves with our ohana (family) of Hawaiian watermen. Located in the Heart of Kailua-Kona On Ali'i Drive. HLSI proudly works with the Make A Wish Foundation year round and is a family owned and operated Hawaiian Surf School since the 1990's.

Hawk and SEA DANCER are fully equipped to give you the best experience possible.

Sail along the beautiful Kona coast on The Honu. The Honu is located in the center of Honokohau Harbor, which is 3 miles north of Kona and 4 miles south of the airport. Join us for one of Konas most eco-friendly tours. Reservations can be made by calling Captain Mike at 808-896-HONU(4668). Advanced bookings are recommended, but not necessary. Personalize your sailing charter with optional snorkeling or to include the sunset. The charter is $160 an hour with a minimum of 3 hours for up to 4 guests; each additional guest is $30 per hour. It is available any time of day. The 3.5 hour 1/2 Day snorkel sail has a six person and includes a snorkel guide, snorkel gear, wet suits upon request, lunch (deli wraps, edamame, pineapple, dessert) and refreshments (soda, juice and water). $140 a guest. The sunset sail is 2 hours and includes heavy pupus (edamame, pineapple, deli wraps, shrimp cocktail, dessert) and refreshments (soda, juice, water). BYOB. $100 per guest, 4 person minimum.

Deep Freediving Instruction (DFI) offers weekly private and standard freediving courses, training, lessons, tours, spearfishing, etc. Owner, and one of the deepest divers in the United States, Daniel Koval established DFI back in 2011 teaching all levels, from beginner to advanced, to safely freedive deeper and longer than ever imagined. DFI teaches Freediving Instructors International (FII) education curriculum which is world renown by 13 time world record holder Martin Stepanek.

Big Island Watersports' one-of-a-kind ocean sports experiences offer guests crowd-free swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and more from its secluded "island" located off shore in Kailua Bay. There's also a lounge area and dry bar for observers.
