Paddle through Kawela Bay in an area that in ancient times was reserved for the Ali'i or hawaiian royalty. Help your guides to spot one of our many Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles for our citizen science ID project. Stop at a honu "cleaning station" and watch as some of our Honu line up to get cleaned. For adventure seekers you have the option to surf your kayaks on small 1' waves at the end of the trip or just relax and enjoy the calm protected waters of the bay. End the trip with local refreshments and a visit to the "Lost" Banyan Tree which is the site of many TV Shows and Movies including Lost, Jumanji 2, Pirates of the Caribbean IV and Hunger Games Catching Fire.

With the authentic wood carvings and traditional artwork we offer, any room in your home can become an island destination. You can be confident that the items our master carvers create for you are original and made from natural materials such as wood and bone. We specialize in sea life and Tiki carvings that reflect the rich history of life on the Hawaiian islands.
Ohana island creations is my favorite stop for wood carvings in Oahu. I have been going to Hawaii for 12 years, and there is no better place to buy souvenirs on the entire Island in my opinion.

While you could certainly hike along these trails, there's something special about exploring this exquisite oceanfront setting high in the saddle. Experience the majestic natural beauty of Oahu's North Shore while horseback riding at Turtle Bay Resort. A picturesque trek along trails tucked within this 850-acre resort is a great way to enjoy the area's spectacular beaches, tropical forests and sandy coastline. Group trail rides, evening rides, sunset jaunts and private outings are available.
Just came back from an AWESOME horse riding experience. This was my first ride. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the private sunset ride with Kayla, she was the best. Kayla calmed my nerves and was very reassuring. Kayla is very upbeat and energetic. She is extremely knowledgeable about horses, the trails and the sites along the way. The ride was great! We even saw a monk seal napping on the beach! This was an awesome experience. Definitely a must do on the North Shore.

Beautiful spot to admire mother nature & her turtles... we had a swim in the warm clean and clear water and had a chance to see the turtles landing on the beach to sunbath. One NEEDS to stay 3metres away from those marine creatures to let them enjoy their beach.

The lush jungles and sandy beaches of Oahu’s North shore have brought awe and wonder to visitors for centuries. We wanted to inspire and preserve those feelings of awe and spark a sense of adventure in others, so we started North Shore Explorers. We launched it back in 2009 with Hele Huli Adventure Rentals at Turtle Bay Resort, and ever since then have set up thousands of first time thrill seekers and experienced enthusiasts on adventures of their own. We’re focused on giving individuals and families the ability to jumpstart their Hawaiian adventure and create their own personal experiences. We do this by constantly looking for ways to mix touches of Hawaiian Culture with the changing trends of the modern world. Whether it’s on bikes, paddleboards, Segways or mopeds, the North Shore Explorers will provide you with a one-of-a-kind opportunities to see Oahu like you’ve never seen it before.

For the safety of our ‘ohana and that of the community, we will be suspending all tour operations until further notice. Mahalo for your understanding during this recent spike in COVID cases! Please order for take-out online or check out our online store if you would like to support our small business and purchase locally made products from us.
I am a natural gardener and learned some new ideas on this tour: how apple bananas propogate, how cacao is grown and processed, that a low-growing peanut shrub makes a great cover crop, and that I love lilikoi (passion fruit). Inspired by their static hydroponic system for growing greens that does not need electricity! They served a delicious array of locally-grown fruit afterwards! Our guide was super knowledgable about organic growing processes too!
