Despite the losses the garden took during the civil war, they are quite lovely. It's a great place to relax, very cool with ample room for couples or a private party of friends. The histories of the Tomb, Queen's palace, Mosque and Pavilion are all very interesting and the staff is knowledgeable but it's probably the surrounding views of the city that make this a must see on your visit to Kabul.

Partially frozen lake giving the lifetime view, but don't forget to come with reasonable arrangements for winter as temperature remains in minus even in evening.

I came here with a local guide earlier this month. I was very happy with the visit. The museum is not very big but it contains many, many old artefacts, statues, coins, and, written explanations of many of the exhibits. Much of the museum is devoted to the evolution and development of Afghanistan from a historic and religious perspective. It’s an absolute must-do when in Kabul.
