Sea Lion Charters

The business has been operating in the Jurien bay marine park for the last 25 years, previously operating out of Greenhead the tours are now operating from theJurien bay Marina to facilitate ease of access for passengers on a floating pontoon with wheelchair access and allowing for operations to alternate between 2 islands nearby that are inhabited by the Ausralian Sea lions. Tours are generally between 2 to 3 hrs depending on which island we visit and sea conditions. Their are plenty of great photo opportunities with both the sea lions and abundant bird life

Sandy Cape Recreation Park

I'm hesitant to write this review because I want it stay a hidden gem! Hehe but that's what we so here on trip advisor. So here it is... this place is amazing! Only 15km north from jurien bay if that where you're staying. Dont need a 4wd to access. Theres a bitchemen road to it. A natural camp spot with drop toilets. We didnt stay there, we were in jurien bay, but I believe its first in first served basis. Theres drop toilets but nothing else. Still, all you need! Great for just a day trip. Beautiful beach cove protected from the wind. Can drive your 4wd down onto the beach and set up with awning and chairs if you're not camping. Dogs are allowed down on the beach too. You can fish, snorkel and board/kayak. Beautiful walk up to the peak to the lookout. We went for the day and will definitely be back to stay and more prepared. Must see.

The Shire of Dandaragan is the Pinnacle of the Turquoise Coast with the towns of Cervantes, Jurien Bay, Dandaragan and Badgingarra offering visitors a diverse holiday experience in the stunning natural surrounds of the region. Cervantes and Jurien Bay are easily reached on the coastal route of Indian Ocean Drive, north from Wanneroo Road in Perth. A scenic 200km drive takes you straight to the Cervantes turnoff or the town centre of Jurien Bay is just 22km further. Hit this place up, to work out what we were going to do for the weekend. I expected to just be walking around in the centre like a chicken with its head cut off , pulling out a million pamphlets and still not knowing what I’m doing. But I was wrong , walked in and a happy lady helped me out straight away , it was customer service like I was going to buy the pamphlets lol . She helped out heaps and filled me in with any answers I required. Definitely recommend if in Jurien Bay to visit and get an idea of what to do in the area. Cheers
