The turn for Duncansby Head is just a few hundred metres up the road from John O'Groats in the direction of Wick. After a couple of miles you arrive at a car park (free)near a lighthouse. A short 10-15 minute walk across fields will bring you to the most amazing view of Duncansby stacks. Well worth a visit just for the stacks however we also got to see seals and some great nesting birds on the cliffs.

The U.K's most northerly petting farm and farm shop in the Highlands of Scotland! Come meet the donkeys, goats, pigs, rabbits and more! Open every day 10am-6pm
We loved our visit to the farm and to see and feed the animals. All of the animals had plenty of room and seemed very happy! You could tell even after our short time there that some of the animals are right characters! Would highly recommend a visit here. The shop had a great selection of items to buy from fresh fruit and veg to homemade cakes!

Whilst driving the NC500 during relatively quite times it felt Braw pulling into an almost empty car park besides the signpost which also offers stunning views across to Southern Orkney islands. There are plenty of craft shops onsite and there are plenty of sites offering accommodation. Braw Aye
Hi, I'm Lisa. I'm lucky to have grown up in Caithness at the Far North of Scotland surrounded by vast open landscapes and beautiful coastlines. Before becoming a full time artist, I gained experience working in tourism and hospitality. I'm passionate about the area and love to share local knowledge and experiences with others while ensuring our largely untouched landscape is left as its found.
