The park was nice and well kept. Paths were well kept and flowers/gardens were very nicely maintained. It was free enter the park, but you had to pay individually for activities. There was a small amusement park and you could rent multiple types of boat. The best point for me was the people that went there and did things for fun/performance. There was Tia Chi, elderly musicians playing "classical" Chinese music, a jazz Sax player, old people singing old songs with speakers for fun, many different dance groups, religious ceremonies, running clubs, and a lot of similar type activities. You had the regular activities that you would expect for most Chinese parks, as well as a massive influence/participation of the local community.

Temporary closed for renovation, a beautiful Catholic Church reminding of Portuguese influence in Jilin is one of the must visit places. Beautiful architecture impresses visitors with its elegant yet heavy stone construction and the magnificent view of the river.
