The Atlantic coast of New Jersey, with its beaches and boardwalks, stretches from Sandy Hook in the north to Cape May in the south. Fresh ocean breezes fan 127 miles of sandy beaches. Drive between cities or catch a NJ Transit bus or Atlantic City jitney bus. Atlantic City packs people in to nightlife venues and casinos. Wildwood's boardwalk is well-trod. Asbury Park is once again popular, particularly with gays and lesbians. Cape May's restaurants and Victorian inns lure tourists to the historic town.

With its quaint storefronts, amusement rides and Music Pier, Ocean City is everything you'd expect from the real Jersey shore. This family-friendly town boasts a two-mile boardwalk dotted with amusements, pizza parlors, and seaside stores.
Almost Always a great idea. Get great exercise walking or in the morning riding a bike or surrey. If you aren't feeling energized sit on one of the many benches a spend some time people watching. So Much Fun! Stores are great I love Marty's and of course the phenominal food--Johnson Popcorn, Curley's Fries, Funnel Cake, Fudge, Ice Cream, Salt Water Taffy, etc.. ok I love the food. Go into Shriver's and get a fabulous Candy Apple --sooooo good yum

The Wildwood Boardwalk in New Jersey is miles of magic with 100s of rides and attractions. Free beaches and oceanfront waterparks.
Some reviews say Wildwood is going downhill. From someone who visited it regularly while I lived in New Jersey, I can state the reverse. During the 70s and 80s, the area had a poor reputation. Today, it is poised for families instead of gangs of teenagers. This is regardless of the T-Shirt shops and other shlock areas. They exist everywhere. You can even find them in Estes Park, CO. It certainly didn't stop the stores from being crowded during a pandemic weekend. What makes this area wonderful is the beach. It's so wide that you can stay six feet apart without an issue and still be close to the water. And that's cool to your feet when the rest of the area is warm and humid.

I walked on the Belmar NJ boardwalk many times during August 2020. It is about two miles long so a round trip is four miles. To the north end is a bridge between Belmar and Avon by the Sea and the Belmar fishing pier. In the middle is the Taylor Pavilion and Cruz Bay Cafe as well as Silver Lake. To the south are some shops and restaurants and the entrance to Spring Lake. The boardwalk is very wide and it is great for walking and exercise. Sometimes I went very early in the morning - about 7 am and sometimes I went late at about 6 pm. The views of the beach and ocean are very nice. In terms of COVID19 safety, some people wore masks but many did not. If you are alert while walking then you can social distance. All in all the Belmar NJ boardwalk is a great place.

Hadn’t been to the Boardwalk in many years. Beautifully maintained. No longer jog. Went for early morning walk. Lots joggers and cyclists. Everyone is courteous. Plenty of benches. In Ventnor, Boardwalk is narrower than in Atlantic City. But still plenty of room for what ever activity you enjoy.

I love to come to Spring Lake Beach and Boardwalk. It is very clean and peaceful yet next to Belmar Beach for more amenities and excitement. Great place for a walk, run, bike ride or just to get some R & R. One of the top beaches on the New Jersey Shore.

Tiny AC museum inside!! Free, 15-30 minute stop. Look at old pictures from Atlantic City’s past, sit and watch a movie. Look at old costumes, posters and cute salvaged items. An organ is on display and they give special tours of the organ for a donation

We are so happy that this beach is open. We live it here and so do our teens. It is quite long, so you can have a quiet area to settle with the family. The kids sunbathe there with us and then they go to the more active, crowded area where they can eat and see their friends. There are some very nice restaurants, resorts and spas. All were very crowded even for this time (COVID).

Located south of New York City, this beach is known for its sea kayak zone.
Spent a few days of local summer at Jenks north beach. It was like I was away on vacation. Loved sitting under the palm trees watching the ocean, boats and people.

Opened on June 26, 1870, the world-famous Boardwalk stretches along six magical and glittering miles of Atlantic City beachfront.
The board walk had alot of nice outdoor restaurants like sugar which I loved great candy and drinks, the balcony bar food was delicious and Wet Willie's drinks was awesome. We enjoyed walking around and playing video games. We rode the go carts which was fun and had a great romantic night watching the water and ferris wheel.I went for my birthday and I really enjoyed my time. definitely going again next month. Atlantic City was awesome even wearing mask and social distancing.

I usually go almost every Sat just for the day but this weekend was my first this summer due to covid worries. I like to get there early, by 8am, get free street parking & stay til lunch time & avoid the crowds. I was pretty impressed & will be returning next Sat. I had been in Ocean CIty NJ for a week in late July & can tell you I saw much more mask wearing at PP. I would say 80% of people on boardwalk wearing masks. Same with people walking to their spots on the beach. I even saw quite a few wearing masks all day while sitting on the beach - that I think is overkill not to mention it was 90+ Deg out. but whatever makes someone comfortable. One concern... the women working the booth where we bought our daily beach wristband had no barrier between her & us & wore no mask at all. Bathrooms were clean. Got a snack on the boardwalk & all workers wearing masks. We did not do any rides - not comfortable with that yet but it was a really good beach day.
