I come here often to take photos of Manhattan and the 9-11 memorial. The park has a nice paved path along the waterfront with great views of Ellis Island and the Statue of liberty. There is also a historic rail station here, which is where you can buy tickets for the Statue of liberty ferry.

It’s a refreshing change from the hustle bustle of Manhattan to the relative calm of Hoboken and the views of the skyline are amazing. Visit in the evening for the illuminated view of Manhattan. Take the PATH train or very speedy ferry service.

This is a place that commands silence and reflection, beautifully executed with a view on the WTC and Manhattan. I’ve been to many war memorials in Europe and this monument tragically reminds me about all of them, although the victims here were not soldiers, just ordinary people like you and me.

Saw the Drive by Truckers here, and it is really a gorgeous place. There was a few hundred people there, and it was comfortable and the sound was good. They have a nice selection of drinks, and the staff was friendly. Parking isn't so easy though, so maybe consider Uber.

The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum

Through commemoration, exhibitions and educational programs, The National September 11 Memorial & Museum, a nonprofit in New York City, remembers and honors the 2,983 people killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001, and February 26, 1993, as well as those who risked their lives to save others and all who demonstrated extraordinary compassion in the aftermath of the attacks.

This place really hits home with the impact that was suffered that day. Just visiting the memorial itself is an experience but the museum goes into great detail. It had all been done with class and the way they show tribute too the people that tragically died that was very respectful, to the extend that when it is someone's birthday they put a while rose in there name on the memorial, a lovely touch that I am sure the family will appreciate. I would definitely recommend visiting and the museum too and not to rush through it, its a lot to take in.

Liberty Science Center

We hadn’t been to the Liberty Science Center in almost 20 years and decided to give it a try.

Tip #1: If you can buy the tickets online, do so and save 30 minutes or more of waiting in line.

We did some of the permanent hands-on exhibits prior to our planetarium presentation. You might get a little dizzy. Just close your eyes or focus on a single point (somewhat like twirling while dancing). Very knowledgeable presenter and entertaining. We also had a proposal at the end of the show which was fun for the couple.

Had a great time with family even though some of the exhibits weren’t working. Come early to avoid the crowds.
