I visited Jay Peak for two days with three 19-year-olds and one 15 year old. We all enjoyed the waterpark immensely; it was very clean, the water temperature was perfect, having the open air on a hot July day was epic. Very little surprises me when it comes to Jay Peak and this indoor/outdoor waterpark is perfect for everyone! Can’t wait to go back.

Jay Peak should be on everyone's list of top mountain resorts in the North East. The mountain is large and features a great variety of terrain - there is more expert terrain than beginner terrain, but everyone will be able to find a run that fits their style and ability level. The tree skiing is some of the best in the North East without question. The lift system could use some updates but is well laid out. The resort itself offers a variety of activities including an indoor waterpark, rock climbing, an ice rink, golf and more. There is a good variety of lodging and dining at the resort as well. The mountain is rather remote and far from many of the major metropolitan areas which helps limit the crowds but also makes travel a bit difficult.

Due to global warming I have found myself having to go further and further north to get good skiing in the East. For the past 12 years, including just last week, I have been skiing at Jay Peak Resort. It was not a resort when we started, there was no restaurant, an old hotel, no spa, no pool, and no skating rink. We were there to ski! and we did just that! There motto is "Raised Jay" which is a culture, a vibe, a way of life for the folks that live and work there. To me it means, great skiing, family time, relax, ski hard, play hard and have fun. But most of all SKI and be respectful and kind to all at the mountain because we are all there for the same reason: to be away from our real lives and experience the culture, vibe and the wonderful people of Jay Peak!
