Wonderful old gothic style church. Beautiful pipe organ. Masses can be a bit more traditional- patrons nicely dressed in "Sunday clothes".

A good time on a sunny day. Not far from major hotels. The Riverwalk takes you past the City Mill which is nice, but rebuilt for the tourist trade. I belong to a walking club, and I did not find this a stressful or difficult walk at all. You also get some good views of the downtown area from the walk. There are many benches along the walk where you can rest if you do find it taxing, rest rooms available, and plenty of places to enjoy the sun, as overcast and rainy is not the day for this.

I really didn't expect to find such a large museum in this size town. There's a bit of everything here. There's even a log cabin that has been rebuilt inside this building that can be used for wedding venues. This place is staffed by friendly volunteers. I even had a volunteer docent who took me around the time I was there- and I was there for over 3 hours. Being a city boy I was learning about some of the farm equipment from my most generous docent. Oh, don't let me scare you in thinking it's all farm stuff- there's much more-really. There is also some Civil War memorabilia for us Civil War buffs. This is a bargain for $5 and there is ample free parking in the back. One more thing, there's a huge model train exhibit in a room to itself. Currently, they are planning to redo the train layout and expect to finish in October.

Sultan's Run is a special place with rolling hills, challenging greens, and elevations to navigate as trying to tackle this gem. Having played this venue for many years, I fund the course to be in the best shape ever. A little course knowledge goes a long way, yet even a first timer will appreciate the beauty and challenge this track offers. As it pertains to the Indiana Baseball HOF event, the banquet facility and staff are always pleasant and spacious. Thanks Sultan's Run!

Hubby and I had couple of hours to check out some local sights. Although mill is interesting could not get close due to some construction activity. Store had very little to look at and shopkeeper was not forthcoming with any historical information or enthusiasm. Would not bother visiting again.

Have your photo taken at one of the world's largest popcorn boxes! Come inside and get some of our 90 flavors of gourmet popcorn. Savory, Sweet, and Premium flavors to choose from. We also make a hugh assortment of gourmet chocolates. This stop on your journey will be a treat for the entire family!
I loved walking around this place! The popcorn smelled wonderful. It was a little pricey. They did offer samples; however, we were getting ready for dinner so didn't try anything. They have wonderful gift baskets pre made. I loved the other knick knacks that were in the store as well. For indoors and outdoors. It was well worth the stop.

My wife and I did the dinner train experience with another couple which we booked 30 days in advance. We were not seated in the dinner car with wooden seats, we were seated in the parlor car with TV trays. We were told because the other dinner car had last minute unexpected issues, we had to ride in the parlor car but they also stopped taking reservations for this trip several days before the ride? You leave the depot and travel about 30-45 minutes before they stop the train to have the buffet which was good for what it is. There is a cash only bar aboard for those who partake. The people working on the train were very friendly and attentive for volunteers! Scenery was nice but it would be great during the fall when the leaves turn. This was a 2.5 hour train ride at $50 per person.

The Mother of God Shrine and Saint Joseph Shrines were fantastic. The rainy day we went there was no other person about. The columns and fountains were all made from geodes and all the walls were covered with geodes. The place is a real treasure and life work of an artist with real faith and creativity. Do not miss this wonder if you are in the area as it will impress even the most staunch skeptic by the sheer scope and size of the grotto.

If you visit the river walk you must go see Schaeffers barn. There isn't a lot to it but it is an awesome place to take some photos of friends and family with its neat looking back drop.

Outstanding coffee shop in Jasper, Indiana. The owner converted an "Airstream" into a coffee shop. The coffee is excellent and they offer home-made cinnamon rolls on Friday and Saturday mornings. The "Airstream" has a drive thru window and is located just off of Main Street. Will definitely return with the family.
