Jarva-Jaani Firefighting Museum

Jarva-Jaani Firefighting Museum is built on the foundation of the rectory’s old stables and opened its doors to visitors in 1999. You will see the old flag of the firefighting union that was lost for 44 years, the new jubilee flag, photos, medals and diplomas in the museum.You can visit the Jarva-Jaani Firefighting Museum by appointment.Interesting facts:- there is a model of a two-storey wooden house in the museum where 27 different causes of a fire are demonstrated with the help of small fires;- you will also see the fire-fighters' carriage that was used in the film "Viimne reliikvia" ("The Last Relic"), one of the most popular Estonian movie of all times.

3. Painurme Local Museum

The village museum with a special exposition is located in the Village of Painurme, Jarva County. The exhibit covers 11 different topics. During the summer, you can visit the Painurme Local Museum on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as Saturdays and Sundays. Interesting fact: – The museum was founded by young Rundo Mults, who was only 16 years at the time. – The rich collection is focused primarily on the recent past.

4. Prandi Springs and Lake of Springs

In Jarvamaa, in Prandi Village there is a 1.4 ha lake of springs, a spring 40 metres in diameter and a small lake, 1.5 m deep with a limestone bottom. There are many spring outlets in the Prandi lake of springs and the output of water can be up to 100 litres per second during high water periods. A nature study trail goes along on the shore of lake Prandi. There's also a picnic spot with a bonfire site and the Prandi Village Centre and square owned by the Prandi Village Society. Prandi village was awarded the Village of the Year title in 2011.

There are 11 groups of springs with almost 40 springs in the western part of Endla Nature Reserve. These springs are rich in water and start on the slopes of Pandivere Highlands. Interesting facts: The measurements taken at Nora Spring in 1936 gave a surprising result – 360 litres of water flowed out of the spring per second, which equals 36 full buckets per second. The opening where Sopa Spring starts is 6 metres in diameter and 4.8 metres deep. Wooden foot bridges have been built on the Oostriku Spring to give people a better view of the spring.

The Cinema Museum was opened in Jarva-Jaani in 2006. The Cinema Museum shows the process of making a film, lighting equipment, cameras, a small film development tank, a montage table, the device used to mix sound and picture and a large collection of projection devices.You can visit the Jarva-Jaani Cinema Museum by appointment.Interesting facts:- the equipment can also work with the power generated by the generator of a travelling cinema

The Aravete Museum is located in the former Kurisoo Manor, which dates back to the first half of the 19th century and has a front façade decorated with a classicist columned portico. The Aravete Village Museum opened its doors to visitors on June 9, 1989. The museum occupies 10 rooms and the attic in the manor house. The Aravete Village Museum is open to visitors on workdays, and at other times with advance booking. Interesting facts: The museum includes a fire fighting room, school classroom, teacher’s room, ladies room, radios and gramophones, televisions, Brezhnev-era room, and literature room.

8. Koigi Manor

Johann Adam von Grunewaldt begun redesigning the heart of the manor in the second half of the 18th century with his financial capacity and the architerctural trends of that time in his mind. The early classicist stone main building with baroque elements was finished in 1771. The main building originally had a rectangular ground plan and a high hipped roof. Later the building underwent a major reconstruction and was supplemented by wings on its garden-side. The main building of Koigi manor was fully renovated during 2008-2009 by the European financial mechanisms and the Koigi municipality, as a result of which you have access to this timeless building with all modern amenities today.
