What to do and see in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan: The Best Photography Tours

March 13, 2022 Tambra Mccollister

The dramatic and romantic desert fortress of Jaisalmer is an exotic city in Rajasthan’s great Thar Desert. "The Golden City" rose to prominence as a result of its position on camel trade routes. It's now most famous for the 12th-century fort and ornate "Havelis," fine merchant-built houses and pavilions in the city’s medieval lanes. The surrounding Desert National Park offers opportunities to observe blackbucks, desert foxes and chinkaras amid the rolling dunes, rugged crags and waterholes.

Such a cozy guest house!! Our stay here has been flawless, the ventilated terrace was the perfect place to chill out after a long walk around the old part if Jaisalmer. The restaurant also has really tasty dishes, sandwiches, drinks and many other thinks you could imagine.Rooms and restrooms were really clean and taked care of. The "quality of service"/cost ratio was difficult to improve. Last but not least, Padam and the rest of the staff are really nice with guests & I'm possitive you would also get on well with them as I did!! We booked this tour for our first day in Delhi. We had a little trouble finding the starting point, but were only a few minutes late and our guides were waiting patiently. We waited for another couple to arrive and then set out into the busy market. We had no idea what to expect as this was our first visit to India, and our first day! The guide took us to several established food stalls in the market, explained the various dishes and how to eat them, and the way 'heat' or spiciness worked in the foods and how to enhance or tone it down, just by the combination of foods you eat. There was lots of delicious food to experience and we learned a lot. Our guide also gave us some recommendations of where to eat in other places in India we were visiting. We loved our tour and thank you highly recommend

Had a great time ! Drive to the falls was breathtaking amid lush green forests. Jeep safari from the gate to the falls was the most memorable part of the trip apart from the Waterfall. Next we were taken to the spice plantation where we had a hearty lunch. Food was simple but very rustic. Loved the aroma! After that a guide took us on the tour of the spice garden and explained about the different varieties. I would like to thank Tripbea for this amazing experience and would strongly recommend this trip to everyone.
