There are so many beautiful places in Haiti especially when it comes to natural beauty. These Waterfalls and "bassins" are no different. So beautiful, such an amazing experience, but you have to work a little bit to get there. definitely need to be of moderate hike ability to get there, because it is a little haul to get to all of the three bassins. When you do finally get there, absolutely takes your breath away. I would so do it again on my next trip to Haiti. Most adventurous, was the trip in the bus crossing the shallow river to get up the mountain. Gorgeous!

Yes, the Promenade is cool in the late afternoon hours, but don't expect to spend more than 10 minutes at this beach. There is so much trash, you could burn it for a mid-sized city's annual energy needs.
Hawkers everywhere, go eat at "Manje lokal" at the right end of it (looking at the waterfront), a collection of 10-20 local restaurants.

Display of original art, interesting to see artists at work. However much better quality work for sale about 2-3 blocks west down StAnne street. Just walk around a few blocks and see what is for sale at established artists. But worth the stop for a few minutes. Too bad the mosaic shop was closed at Saturday 10 AM?

For those newbies. Keep your valuables tight and pack small change. Haggle haggle haggle. You'll get the "blan" price. Be prepared to dodge and weave as it's quite a press. Again don't bring anything of value to the market. Remember where you are!! I love the marche and have never had an incident in 2 years of frequenting it.
The little old lady selling voudou stuff and plastic is honest and gives fair prices. Greet each person politely with a smile and ask how they are. It helps. And don't forget to say thank you!! Merci un pil!!

This little shop has an amazing variety of locally produced art items. From paintings to baskets, to handmade cards to jewelry, its all here. Everything is of high quality and the prices are extremely reasonable. There are lots of little galleries in Jacmel, be sure not to miss this one.
