The "Hutsul Land" ethnopark tells the fascinating story of life and household of the highlanders of the Ukrainian Carpathians: Hutsuly, Lemky and Boiky. This new and unique environment, which combines various recreation and entertainment at "Bukovel" resort, is located just to the right of Lake of Youth's far edge. One of the major available exhibits is skansen (an open-air ethnographic complex), notable for its interactive approach to guests: you can enter a 200-years-old house, sit on a bench, watch the fire burn in the stove, grind wheat with millstones, craft a doormat using a real weaving machine, watch how cheese is prepared at the manufacture and even participate in a Hutsulian wedding theatrical action! The complex also boats an interactive zoo, where native, exotic, wild animals and birds live almost in their natural habitat, which will sure delight both children and adults.
The museum depicts the history of liberation movement and state building processes at the territory of Western Ukraine, in particular Precarpathian, and covers time lines from the period of Galych-Volyn’ principality till the events that took place in the 20th century.
