A hidden gem in the middle of beautiful nature scenery. Here we will travel through time to hear about the pioneers of kibbutz Gesher and of the extraordinary work of Pinchas Rothenberg and his electric vision. We also recommend to add a variety of baking workshops and meals.
The Old Court Yard of Kibbutz Gesher has been refurbished as a park and museum to commemorate the historical events that took place here in Israel's war of Independence. Throughout history this site was a bridge on the crossroads at the entry to the land of Israel from the east. There is an ancient Roman bridge, that was also used by the Mamaluks who built a Han inn here. In 1948 members of the kibbutz successfully fought off the invasion of the Iraqi army here.
