The Isle of Man is simply magical, an enchanted journey back in time that somehow still feels modern. The island is peppered with stone churches, castles, forts and intricately carved Celtic crosses, all in varying states of preservation. A ride on the steam engine Heritage Railway is a wonderful way to take in the splendid countryside. Don’t miss the Victorian-era Laxey Wheela or Curraghs Wildlife Park, a fun way to get up close and personal with some of the island’s most adorable natives.

Castletown Golf Links is a unique championship golf course situated on the Langness Peninsula in the Isle of Man, surrounded by the sea on all three sides. The Isle of Man occupies just about the same area as Greater London - no more than 33 miles long and less than half that distance at its widest point. At Castletown golf is mostly played well above sea level, with views at every hole of tumbling cliffs, rocky outcrops, sweeping bays and, of course, the ever present sea. Yet the playing conditions are pure links golf - tight-knit, quick draining turf and smooth, fast running greens, with gorse, whispy fescues, and heather defining fairways. The original Castletown Club was formed in 1892 and holes were laid out on the present site in the early 1900's by Old Tom Morris, widely regarded as the modern pioneer of golf. Just a few years before he had confirmed to a potential client: "My fee for laying out a green is One Pound Sterling and travelling expenses", so the exercise was not too costly! Following the Second World War, the course was re-designed and restored by the very well-respected architect, Mackenzie Ross, and it is that course which is in play today. With water on all sides and two magnificent bays carving swathes along each flank, it is a dramatic and wonderfully natural site for a golf course.

Mad Jack’s is all about having fun with friends, work mates and rivals. Each session lasts 1 hour and includes a full introduction to the sport of Axe Throwing. You can take part in our Mad Jack’s challenges which includes a tournament and other fun games, or you can simply throw the axes and enjoy a few drinks. You will be given an “Axepert” to take you through the ins and outs and can even challenge them to a game to win a free piece of merch! Here at Mad Jack’s, no two sessions are the same, and we aim to be as flexible as possible to give you a unique experience. We offer a range of food in our new coffee shop which can be purchased during or after your session. Our gaming area is the perfect spot to enjoy your food and our retro arcade machines! Hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages are sold on site, however alcoholic beverages can be picked up from our friends at Bottle Monkey, where you will receive a 5% discount.
Such a fun evening at Mad Jack’s! The staff were great, giving us tips and guiding us through the session as most of our group were complete novices. We’d booked a hour and the time really flew....just like the axes! Can’t wait to return for another session, great fun for all ages.

We had a wonderful kayak with Dave, he gave us expert guidance before and during the tour. The tour tour was really enjoyable and a great way to see the landscape of the Isle of Man from the water. We highly recommend. We are looking forward to our next trip. Thank you Dave for a truly amazing experience!
