Life on the Big Island is a little bit slower… and locals like it that way. The natural beauty and ecological features of the island are a draw for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Test your chutzpah at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, home to the longest volcanic eruption in recorded history, or climb to the indescribably beautiful summit of Mauna Kea. At the end of the day, there’s nothing more refreshing than a quivering plate of fresh poke, followed by a fruity shave ice.

Just returned home from The Big Island where we went to Mamalahoa Hot Tubs and Massage. We had a wonderful experience from the moment we stepped through the bamboo doors. My husband and I had booked a 30 hot tub with a 90 minute couples massage. We were a little early and greated by Ron, he showed us to our private hot tub and we were actually able to spend 45 minutes there. He then called us to the massage room where we met Suzani and Ann for our massage. This was one of the most relaxing massages we have ever had. Suzani and Ann are experts at their profession. During our massage it started to rain and the sound of the rain just outside our outdoor(but enclosed) room was so relaxing. We highly recommend Mamalahoa Hot Tubs and Massage to anyone that is looking for the most relaxing experience on the Big Island.

I’ve always been that odd person who didn’t like massage. Sometimes it was because I actually left feeling worse than when I came in, while other times it just wasn’t quite enough to make me feel anything at all. Then I came here. I’d been having excruciating arm and leg pain from over exertion and no amount of painkillers or hot tubbing had helped at all. My hourlong massage was 100% what I’d needed. It was the exact perfect amount of pressure, attention to the painful areas, and ideally relaxing atmosphere to finally alleviate more than a week’s worth of pain that had kept me from sleeping or enjoying my Hawaiian vacation. Strongly recommend having your cares and your pains rubbed away here. Mahalo!

My friend who now lives on the Big Island recommended and we (my friend, adult daughter and I) were able to book services during the same time through a phone call. Their services are listed on their webpage. The location is just off the highway and is very relaxed and comfortable, the owner and staff are welcoming, experienced and competent. I have been through a few years of PT & Therapeutic medical massage and I thought that owner Christine is an excellent therapist. The muscle knots & soreness I acquired from the stress of getting out of town and travel were addressed, I wish I has booked earlier after arrival. My friend was happy with one of their salt scrub body treatments. My daughter was happy with massage therapist Jessica. These are competent massage therapists. I highly recommend this spa.

I have brought my two worlds together of medical massage for acute and chronic pain combined with the nurturing element of the spa massage. My massages range from very focused pain rehabilitating to grounding lomi-lomi . Whatever type of massage you get you are sure to have a nurturing element to it, with the added benefit of a amethyst bio mat releasing far infared mild warmth with negative ion release.

Massage is a great way to leave your mainland stresses behind and drop into the island pace. My massage is most heavily influenced by Hawaiian Lomi Lomi as well as Deep Tissue. Enjoy in my lovely studio or I can come to your vacation rental in the Pahoa, Kalapana, or Kapoho areas. Please go to my web site for more information.
