Kenmare has its very own Scuba Diving school with fun Snorkeling & guided Scuba Diving trips for complete beginners to qualified divers running daily throughout the summer. On the 3 hour 'Try a Dive' programme the Instructor provides a warm wet suit & brief orientation of the equipment & the dive site. An exhilarating scenic boat trip takes you to explore tranquil island inlets, where one can enjoy the dramatic scenery & amazing biodiversity of sea life. In a beautiful sheltered lagoon you learn to use scuba equipment in standing depth water & take that first magical underwater breath as you are carefully guided through the lagoons abundant marine life. The dive centre is based at the stunning harbour of Kilmackilogue or you can be collected by boat at Oysterbed Pier, Sneem. Non divers, who wish to just take in the beautiful sea views, life jackets are available for hire. Staff provide informative commentary on the sites of interest & wildlife from bird life to dolphins & whales.

Try Something New - explore the rugged West Coast of Ireland like never before in coasteering or discover the fun and satisfaction of climbing up and abseiling down a 60ft sheer rockface overlooking the magnificent Clew Bay. Explore the Wild Atlantic Way coastline from the water in one of our guided kayaking trips. Or try out snorkelling and discover the underwater world of Clew Bay. For an true Wild Atlantic Way experience, explore the coastline of Clare Island on the water (coasteering, snorkelling) or on land (rock-climbing & abseiling). Training Pool Mevagh Dive Centre has a 3.7 m purpose built indoor dive pool, which is also suitable for swimming. The pool allows us to offer scuba diving training in a safe, warm environment.
