This compact Scottish city is perfect for exploration by foot — travelers can easily find their way from the lovely River Ness to historic Inverness Castle and St. Andrews Cathedral, and beyond to the events at Eden Court and the busy Victorian Market. It’s also an ideal base for exploring the Highlands, with the mysterious Loch Ness (and famed local resident Nessie), Culloden Battlefield and the Bronze Age Clava Cairns just a quick drive away.

The Malt Room is a cosy and friendly bar where you can sample a wide range of the finest whiskies, as well as whisky and non whisky cocktails, premium sprits, wines and an choice selection of wines and beers. Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to guide you through our whisky menu, which contains blends and single malts from all the Scotch regions, as well as American bourbon and rye, Irish whiskey and Japanese whisky.
The space is very intimate but that only adds to the allure of the experience. Matt, the owner, was able to set up a last minute tasting flight for our family who were just in town for the day. He was absolutely exceptional. He was beyond knowledgeable and accommodating, and he went so far as to change some of the flights to fit the flavor preference of each of us. Such a delightful experience that everyone should have while in Inverness!

I've now been to the Ironworks on countless occasions, and never had a bad time. Modern, spacious venue with cloakroom, well staffed bar (although they could do with a malt of 2!), and most of all - fantastic music. Caught Ho-Ro's hometown show here in October, and more recently we brought in the bells during Rhythmnreel's hogmanay party. Look forward to returning.

a great 'craic' pub with emphasis on being friendly. There is always something going on. The 'Clach' is an institution within the local area and serves 4 ales and 1 cider alongside other draught beers, lagers and ciders. We are an informal pub that delivers highland hospitality and great food, and what's better is that we love what we do!

The Botanic House is Inverness’s newest music and performance venue, situated on Castle Street, in the heart of the city. Serving premium drinks and cocktails throughout the evening.. Food is served on an ever changing menu
Wow! What a great place. Cheese and Meat boards were ace with a mixture of flavours, especially impressed with the cheese selection. Cocktails were yummy, Frozen Daiquiris for £5 is such a steal. Was impressed with the measures to keep everyone safe, hand gels, social distancing etc. Didn't take away from the atmosphere. Felt like a proper night out despite the government curfew and music ban! This was our first ever visit to Botanic House and will definitely be back!
