CREW does excellent job maintaining some beautiful Floridian ecosystems and preserving beautiful nature. The trails allow for close contact with both lush flora and amazing fauna of swamps and marshes. Great area for bird watching.

Experienced local guide on a huge marshy lake with over a thousand gators & numerous bird sittings. A very fun ride with great guides

This is a basic refuge for wildlife, and some smart thoughtful people gave it life. No real visitor center with trinkets etc, but very little educational material or stories. I went to hopefully see a panther but found a lack of spirit among the local population as how to protect and nourish this endangered species. A must see to help support the refuge and see the wildness of the habitat of the Florida Panther
There are over six miles of trails to hike or bike. Horseback riding and primitive camping are available with the appropriate permit. The trails loop through cypress domes, pine flatwoods, bottomland hardwoods, and marsh edges. CREW - Cypress Dome Trails connects directly to the south with Conservation Collier's Caracara Prairie Preserve.
The CREW - Marsh Trails provide hikers and campers with four distinct ecosystems - pine flatwoods, sawgrass marsh, pop ash slough, and oak hammock. Each is a unique habitat, allowing a wide variety of plants and animals to exist there. Over five miles of trails are available including an observation tower overlooking the Corkscrew Marsh. Primitive camping is available with a permit.
