Known as one of the city's most elegant residential areas, this Left Bank neighborhood is also home to numerous tourist attractions, including the Eiffel Tower and the Musée d'Orsay.
The 7th Arrondissement is one of the most interesting and beautiful areas of Paris. We walked quite a lot through this area, mostly visiting various sights. And there is a multitude of amazing sights to visit, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Musee d'Orsay, the Hotel des Invalides, the Musee de l' Armee and Napoleon's Tomb, Musee Rodin and many others. One of the nicest things one can do is also a stroll down the banks of the River Seine, or a cruise if you prefer. Not to be missed.

Located in the 18th Arrondissement, this elevated rural neighborhood on the outskirts of the city has a collection of upscale shops and cafés and still exudes hints of old village charm.
It's hard to believe that Montmatre is part of the frenetically-busy city of Paris! It has an old bohemian village feel about it and has much less traffic. There's loads to see, from the amazing Sacre-Coeur Cathedral towering above the city, to the famous Moulin Rouge, little streets meandering up and down the hillside, the buzzing artists' square of Place du Tertre, the fascinating old Cemetary, loads of cafes, restaurants & galleries and so much more!

The section of Paris south of the River Seine.
The Left Bank of the Seine River is possibly the sentimental heart of Paris. In days gone by it was the part of Paris where you would find philosophers, poets, artists, teachers, writers, anybody who was somebody would be here. This sentiment has carried to the present day but how true it is now is another matter. On this side of the Seine you will find some of the most wonderful sights, like the Sorbonne University, the Pantheon, the Latin Quarter, the Musee d'Orsay, the Army Museum, the Rodin Museum, the Eiffel Tower, the Luxembourg Gardens and many others. There are some wide roads but there are many narrow streets as well and it is these that convey the old Paris. You must walk! You haven't been to Paris if you miss the Left Bank!

This famous Left Bank neighborhood, so named because the numerous university students in the area spoke only Latin to their professors until the French Revolution, preserves an authentic Parisian atmosphere of old.
The Saint-Michel Neighborhood, Shakespeare & Company Bookshop, Soak in Medieval Art at the Musée Cluny, the Pantheon, Art-House Cinema, Old Sorbonne University...thanks for everything...Ramona rorvik

This elegant neighborhood is best known for its two famous landmarks, the Arc de Triomphe and the Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
This is another beautiful district in the centre of Paris. It is an area we have spent many hours walking around and checking out everything we could. There are many upmarket shops and some of Paris' most wonderful sights, such as the Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Concorde, Grand Palais, Avenue des Champs Elysees and others.

This lively neighborhood is located in the 14th Arrondissement.
Montparnasse is the area we always try to stay when we visit Paris. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hot spots and this is exact what we like. We always stay at the Marriott Rive Gauche. The Montparnasse Cemetery is a tranquil spot to reflect, there is a street market right next to it on Saturdays... The energy of Montparnasse at night is just second to none: a real Mecca of cafes, bars, night clubs, restaurants, ice cream shops for all budgets and tastes, Galerie Lafayette is a great place for shopaholics, and visit the Tour Montparnasse of course for the sweeping views of the City of Lights.

Cobble-stoned neighborhood featuring quiet shops, cafes and bistros.
Ile Saint-Louis is one of 2 islands in the middle of the Seine. Its streets are filled with 17th and 18th century architecture with lots of quaint shops, cafes and restaurants. The island is quite small and easily walk-able and a must for anyone visiting Paris

Yes- we preferred to stay in this Jewish Quarter, so that's what we did: it wasn't even a question for us. We wanted to experience the atmosphere of the place, to see and explore its history, to wander through its museums (Jewish and otherwise), to visit its stores, to participate in prayer services in its several houses of worship and to enjoy its genuinely certifiably reliably and strictly punctiliously kosher restaurants... and we did do all of that... and maybe even more. You can see my one exemplary photo from the neighborhood and you can also read my reviews of the street, the Marais and the restaurants. Feel free to "like" my reviews and photos. If you are interested in or participate in Jewish life, then this is a location for you. Believe me- I know, because.... I visited this place

The outstanding Palace de Garnier, or the Opera house is absolutely the main attraction here, jaw dropping both inside and outside (see that review). Besides it, this neighborhood is home to the famous department stores, Galleries Laffayete being the biggest one, as well many restaurants, hotels and designer shops. Certainly an area to explore.
