Ikarian Center organizes immersion Greek language courses for non-native speakers on the island of Ikaria, combined with activities. We also organize cultural workshops, cultural activities and environmental projects for local and international participants. Accommodation in our guesthouse is also provided, for those who want to immerse into the life of the island and socialize with some locals.

When wine tradition, archaeology and innovation meet, Afianes wine estate was created with love and artistry in 1997 in Raches of Ikaria. Formed from Nikos and Maria and now their children Konstantinos and Eftychia with studies in France, today 22 years later Afianes Wines have established themselves worldwide as unique and special in their kind, while they combine and utilize the ancient wine tradition of Ikaria, with exquisite grape-varieties and innovative wine making methods, that now give Protected Geographical Indication of Ikaria. We have focused on evolving the traditional wine making methods, with minimum to zero intervention alongside, with the principals of Biodynamics and Bioculture .We believe in the environement and the force of the nature.
