Worth to visit the view point by jeep trekking. View of Tamilnadu from the view point is fantastic. Off road by jeep also very trilling. Best time to visit is December/January

No cameras, do remember this it's a high security area and hence very strict about carrying any thing which is battery operated.make sure u leave every thing in your vehicle.dam entrance is at cheruthoni dam ,you can buy tickets at the entrance every thing is managed by kerala state electricity board. Entrance fee is 25 rs and no ticket for kids ,there is a battery operated car which ferries visitors from. Dam entrance to top of idukki arch dam.if travelling with little kids it's advisable to use the battery car as it there is around 2 km distance from dam entrance to arch dam.it will cost you 30rs one way including children. Car parking is a mess as u need to park on the road and can easily gets blocked ...Though it's a must visit. The dam has a rich history to offer and is a location for various movies. The most important thing is the dam is not open every day it is open on public holidays, sat Sundays

We visited Anayirangkal on a summer morning when there were hardly any tourists around. You can take a canoe to the lake all by yourself and enjoy the breathtaking valley view around.

Me and my family visited Meesapulimala on March 31, 2018. Reached Munnar by noon. Parked car at forest office and started in a jeep arranged by them. 10 kms off-road driving was a stress test for my backbone. We stayed at rhodo mansion, small cottage for a middle class family. Do not expect luxury apartment here. The temperature was 16 c at night. Food was tasty. The staff were very friendly. They prepared a campfire. Next day by 6 am, we went to the top of the hill just behind the cottage. It was the most beautiful scene ever.. the rising sun, the Colors, the cool breeze.. amazing western ghats.. mesmerizing experience. We came back to the cottage and had breakfast. Then started our actual trekking. First 2 hills was somewhat steap, next 4 hills where easy to climb. Last one again slightly steap. When we reached the top of meesapulimala, the sun was bright. We took a different route for return and we could spot a deer. When we reached back at the cottage, heavy rain started. The Jeep was waiting for us. Had to take a quick lunch. Again that horrible off road drive, this time a bit more scary, due to the slippery rocks and poor visibility. But still I love this place.

Overview Situated amongst the gushing locations in Western Ghats Land and providing an enchanting view of the semi-evergreen forests grasslands, Anchuruli Waterfalls (also spelt as Anjuruli) is a surreal location definitely worth visiting. The water that comes from Erattayar River is used for the Idukki hydro-electric project. A tunnel which is 2 km long passes through Erattayar and Anchuruli carrying water to the lake. Though the tunnel is dangerous, it is a fun place to take a stroll at especially for all the adventure lovers

We were en route munnar driving from Cochin and we happens to stop by this huge waterfall right beside the road. What a breathtaking sight. We spent 30 odd minutes here admiring nature. It was empty and hardly people there due to off season so we could park right in front of the fall and enjoy it's beauty. You get tea coffee nearby in case you want to have some snacks. You can't go inside the fall you can just enjoy the beauty from outside.
