A Muslim pilgrim center in Vagamon, Thangalpara is the 'Dargah' or the final resting place of the Sufi saint Hasrat Sheikh Fariduddin Baba, who reached Kerala 800 years ago. The bottom of the rock has a masjid. One can visit the saint's tomb. Thangalpara is also an excellent trekking destination, and is approximately 400 foot high trekking. An average healthy person can easily trek up. The views from the top is worth the pain. Entrance is free. The place opens up at 8.00 am for visitors.

Me and my family visited Meesapulimala on March 31, 2018. Reached Munnar by noon. Parked car at forest office and started in a jeep arranged by them. 10 kms off-road driving was a stress test for my backbone. We stayed at rhodo mansion, small cottage for a middle class family. Do not expect luxury apartment here. The temperature was 16 c at night. Food was tasty. The staff were very friendly. They prepared a campfire. Next day by 6 am, we went to the top of the hill just behind the cottage. It was the most beautiful scene ever.. the rising sun, the Colors, the cool breeze.. amazing western ghats.. mesmerizing experience. We came back to the cottage and had breakfast. Then started our actual trekking. First 2 hills was somewhat steap, next 4 hills where easy to climb. Last one again slightly steap. When we reached the top of meesapulimala, the sun was bright. We took a different route for return and we could spot a deer. When we reached back at the cottage, heavy rain started. The Jeep was waiting for us. Had to take a quick lunch. Again that horrible off road drive, this time a bit more scary, due to the slippery rocks and poor visibility. But still I love this place.

Ramakkalmedu is a hill station located about 15 Km from Nedumkandom. The main tourism importance of this place is the presence of excellent wind from TamilNadu. Rolling green hills and the fresh mountain air make Ramakalmedu an enchanting retreat. The hills top also offers a panoramic view of picturesque villages of Bodi and Cumbum on the Eastern slop of the western ghats.
superb attractive place...???? it's the most wind reaching mount in India known as cradle of wind, there are two sculpture known as kuravaan kuravathi,15 km from nedumkanam

Overview Situated amongst the gushing locations in Western Ghats Land and providing an enchanting view of the semi-evergreen forests grasslands, Anchuruli Waterfalls (also spelt as Anjuruli) is a surreal location definitely worth visiting. The water that comes from Erattayar River is used for the Idukki hydro-electric project. A tunnel which is 2 km long passes through Erattayar and Anchuruli carrying water to the lake. Though the tunnel is dangerous, it is a fun place to take a stroll at especially for all the adventure lovers

One of the best treks I've ever had yet. The trail to the top is comparatively easy to the downhill. The best part is the mini puddle of water at the peak. Loved that taste ????. Do start before 5.30 to get an excellent sunrise view. Nevertheless, the view as we go top is breath-taking. We also came across a couple of bison on our way to the base camp. You can reach the base camp with a private vehicle too. Entry is 400 at the base camp. You can get water bottles too, at the base camp. They will provide a local guide too. It takes almost 7-8 hours to complete the trek. Do carry some source of food (My two cents: chocolates, bread and jam, orange and banana for instant energy). Carry atleast 1 litre of water. Please don't litter the place. Happy trekking. No need for an extra permit or guide.
