The Foothills Explorer Tour with Braelei was awesome!! She was a walking wealth of knowledge. Her educational background combined with her life experiences made the tour highly interesting. She knew the history regarding every site we visited. We also recognized how passionate she was when encountering the wildlife. The drive in between visiting landmarks was full of fun. I appreciated the way she captured everyone's attention. Her delivery was also on point. We learned so much during the short 4 hour tour. I could have definitely spent the entire day touring with Braelei. I'm looking forward to visiting Denver and booking another tour/s with her. After spending half a day with her, I realized that we had a similar interests as far as outdoor activities but yet also so different. It should be a requirement to tour with Braelei when visiting Denver. I appreciated every single thing about her especially her personality. My favorite tour guide of all time. She has set that bar on another level. THANK YOU Braelei!!!

Perfect day trip that got my adrenaline pumping. Can't wait to go again.

This tour blends adventure and education. Children and adults will enjoy hiking St. Mary's Glacier. This is a high altitude (over 10,000ft.) semipermanent snow field located an hour from Denver. Amazingly, on a hot summer day you will find people skiing and sledding the glacier while others are cliff jumping into the frigid lake. You may want to bring your bathing suit and attempt a dip into the icy lake water! Dipping into the ice cold water not for you! Then just enjoy the scenery while you bask in the sun and enjoy an early morning picnic lunch. After lunch it's time to stimulate the cerebral cortex! We will hike back down to the van and drive to the Phoenix Gold Mine. A local expert will guide you through the mine, teach you how to pan for gold, and provide the tools you need to test your own luck at finding gold. If the weather is in our favor, you will practice your new skills in the river.

Inclusions: Picnic lunch will be provided. If you have dietary restrictions please let us know. If you have allergies we recommend you bring along your lunch. There is nowhere to purchase food at the glacier., Two bottles of water will be provided.

We were hesitant to book this tour initially, just because we’re so fickle. However, after reading all of the positive reviews we decided to just do it!!! It was amazing. We had Bree as our tour guide and she was so funny, so pleasant to be around and beyond knowledgeable about the area. You could tell she really enjoyed having us and showing us around! Could not have been happier with this experience and I look forward to coming back and booking more adventures with ACT in the future!!! So if you’re considering booking with them, don’t even think about it. JUST DO IT!!!

I offer my tours in English, Spanish and French. This is a private tour cerified by the State of Colorado for private SUV tours. Imagine that Denver was once not long ago full of Cowboys and Indians who roamed the mud filled streets of Denver. Now market street and Larimer Square (the area where Denver was founded) is now several blocks of swanky restaurants and boutique stores. Leaving Denver we ascend to over 6400 feet when we visit the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. In the park there are miles of hiking trails that are intertwined with sandstone cliffs. Rolling Stones had previously ranked Red Rocks the best musical venue in the United States. Onward, we will go up through several beautiful canyons past Evergreen and then upto Idaho Springs. From Idaho Springs we ascend to the old mining towns of Central City which once claimed to have the richest square mile in the world. .
