The Idaho Falls temple is the most important piece of architecture in Eastern Idaho, and home to the most beautiful scenery in Idaho Falls. Its position on the Snake River, gardens and beautiful design make it a must-see for anyone passing through Idaho Falls. The visitor's center at the temple has fun, interactive activities for kids and adults, communicating information regarding the origins of this historic building and its spiritual significance to the local community. Especially in these times when anxiety is high for most of us, the temple grounds are a peaceful place to think, meditate and ponder. Can't think of a better place to visit in Idaho Falls.

We came here to see the lava flows because we didn't plan to drive all the way to Craters of the Moon. (In an unexpected turn of events, we did anyway....so it makes a good comparison for this review.) It was snowy, but we could still see the lava rocks and how they are all holey and stacked up. It was a very interesting terrain. You just stop at the rest area and it is very well marked of where to go off of I-15 South between Idaho Falls and Blackfoot. We actually enjoyed this stop more than when we got over to Craters of the Moon because this time of year, the road at the park is closed so we couldn't really see anything. We did see bear scat here so know that you are not alone even though it feels very remote!

This is a very nice park with something for everyone. We just needed to get out of the car and walk for a while and this was a great place to do it. The park is located on the eastern side of the river below the Rose Hill cemetery. We accessed it from South Boulevard. The park itself has sports fields, amusement rides for the kids, a playground, tennis courts, a ferris wheel, picnic areas and benches. It is a great place for families with children. We walked and them opted to sit and watch all the activity in the park. The zoo is located in the park but we did not have the time to visit it. A great oasis in the city of Idaho Falls for rest and relaxation.

A very nice memorial. During our visit to Idaho Falls one of our planned stops for our family reunion group was to visit this memorial. One of my brothers in law and also my husband both served in the Vietnam War. They used the map of Vietnam that is carved into the sculpture to talk and educate the rest of our group about some of the locations where they were stationed and about some of the happenings. Very interesting.

As part of the open air display of art in Idaho Falls, this is one of the crowning jewels. The sculpture is quite large with several bald eagles amidst dead branches. Inside there is a fountain. It is a very cohesive and striking sculpture and you can literally drive around it. When you tour around Idaho falls, it is easy to encounter. This and the benches around the River walk are truly striking and unique.
