Windmill Lake Wake & Eco Park is a unique, environmentally friendly outdoor recreation centre in the heart of Huron County.
Great staff and a beautiful property. Three of us (ages 11, 14, 45), all first time wake boarders went and our instructor Cam did a great job coaching and driving the cable, we were up wake boarding and doing surface 180's before our Beginner Lesson was done! Will definitely be back for more. Next time we may add the Aqua Park, it looks like a blast. Book ahead, they seem to fill up, especially on weekends. Also, happy to see they have appropriate COVID precautions in place.

Not as scary as Alcatraz but a very intesting stop ... more of a deterent from bad behavior than the facilities they are building today. The governers house was also interesting ... lots to learn too.... make sure to ask why he lived on site. You can't do much for $6 ... take the kids too.... see how thing used to be and read some of the stories and reasons people were jailed..... some a chuckle, some heartbreaking.

Decent sized sites with decent privacy, though some are better than others. We had a non electrical camp site in the colborne site. Gets a little busy with younger folks on the weekend but nothing outlandish, Don’t forget a ground tarp, as the sites can be gravelly. The beach is lovely. Walk past the parking lot for a bit more room as the beach area closer to the parking lot has eroded. Sunsets are amazing. Hiking trails are not listed in km, but rather minutes. Keep in mind those are to be doubled if walking with kids. Parts of the hiking trail are Quite sunny. Washrooms are decently cleaned for a campground. However, expect a wait in the mornings because there is a limit on the amount of people allowed in. (Covid) And some people were doing hair and makeup inside the washroom ????????♀️Bring a mask to wear inside the washrooms per request. All in all we had a lovely time.

Goderich, a town of many facets, with beautiful beaches, incredible city design with wonderful little stores and restaurants. Aside from being right on Huron Lake with long shallow walk in the water beaches, in my view, it is one of the most incredibly wholehearted town with picturesque spots everywhere. The people are extremely friendly; the sights around town are unique. The restaurants, well, mama mia, great food! We walked everywhere, took our time and swam at Rotary Cove beach, enjoyed sitting in the park overlooking the bay, had a drink at the old train station. Simply delightful. The water had cooled off a bit but was still refreshing for Lake Huron for September. We recommended many of our friends to go and visit and we are planning to go back ourselves.

Join the thousands of adventurers who come ready to see some of the finest, boldest, most brilliant theatre in the land. We have 45 Seasons to prove it. Always relevant, always real. This is Blyth. Evenings at 8pm; matinees at 2pm. No performances on Mondays.
This is a consistently high calibre theatre with original plays that make regional history come to life in compelling and very moving ways. Over recent years we have seen brilliant and poignant plays, with superb acting and sets, about subjects as diverse as the 19th century African American proprietor of the Wilberforce Hotel, PT Barnum, Guy Lombardo, and the bizarre ponzi scheme of the "Pigeon King." Well worth a side trip if you plan to go to the Stratford Festival. Well worth a trip in any event!

My parents have lived in the Goderich area since 2012 so I frequently pass the turnoff in Benmiller so this was nice and close for me to camp and visit with them. There are three large campgrounds as well as one secluded radio-free area.I was at the Maple Campground and had a beautiful site tucked away in the trees. The washroom facilities are clean and well maintained and not far from most campsites. There is a water hookup at every site which was a nice bonus. The Falls is the main attraction and is very enjoyable to explore on a summer day. I was disappointed some other visitors could not clean up after themselves as a number of leftover pop cans, cigarette butts, balloons, old flip flops etc.... were left behind in the water detracting from the natural beauty of the waterfalls. There are some great trails through the park so I highly recommend bringing a good mountain bike. A few sections of trail are very steep however and can be a little dangerous if you're not careful. Overall, a good five night camp. I'll be back next season.

The landscaping in the square is beautiful such a nice green space with beautiful hanging baskets and gardens. The courthouse building is one of our favourite buildings in Ontario.
