We present public observations and popular scientific talks to our visitors at every open day. The topics of these talks are chosen among the most popular fields of astronomy: the objects of our Solar System, the future of space travelling, the discovery of new worlds and many others, all of them in the interpretation of professional astronomers. Presentations are accompanied by spectacular pictures and interesting background stories; moreover, we answer all your questions with pleasure (we are happy to answer your questions during and after the presentations).

We have booked a night session with friends and family and spent a wonderful time at the observatory. The guides are friendly and welcoming. Note however, that for night sessions you need to pre-book and can only pay cash. Three adults and 5 children cost us 20000 HUF. The program started off with a great movie about Galilei, set in a dome hall where the film is shown on the inside of the dome and gives you a great sense of 3D. Then we were off to the observatory. As it was a clear night we had the opportunity to see various stars and planets through the huge scope and got plenty of details and explanation. Then it was time to go on the roof terrace for a detailed explanation of the various stellar forms and some history lessons. To close up thee night, we were shown a movie about mars in the 3D hall. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the time spent there and I highly recommend to everyone to check it out.

We visited this place this July, we booked Hotel Kardosfa for a long weekend with a coupon that contained a free ticket here. We wanted to take a night hike, but sadly in July there were none because of the coronavirus. So we reserved tickets in advance via email for a night sky presentation. It was also amazing, those guys really know a lot about stars, planets, history and myths, we really enjoyed it! I'm pretty sure we will visit this place at least one time!
